ABA Therapy | What is it? | Our experience

Hello, my name is Emily. I am a mother to two little boys, Parker (8) and Paxton (2.) In this video, I will discuss our ABA therapy experience for our son Parker and explain what it is. I am now applying for in-home services, and I thought I would share tips on how I expedite and simplify the early stages of application and intake. When Parker was first diagnosed 6 years ago, I didn't have this kind of resource, so I am hoping I can provide some insight and what to expect for those of you who are new to this journey and also a platform for those of us who have done it all and have all the knowledge to and want to share their experience. It can feel really lonely when finding services and advocating for your child, but you are not alone! There are many of us fighting this fight, and we can do this together!
FULL DISCLOSURE: I am neither an ABA therapist nor have any education in this field. I am just a mom of a child diagnosed with autism and have 6 1/2 years of experience with ABA services. I had to learn this all on my own through trial and error. Here is my little contribution, so you don't have to!
