I literally watched this video back to back for an hour and now I got it!!! I’m soo excited! I didn’t think I could. She’s an amazing teacher especially since I don’t have much coordination. I've been trying to learn this for a couple years now. I was able to learn AND retain in 30 minutes because of your tutorial.
I got it. Thank you! ❤❤ Now, I can be one of the cool people down to the dance floor. 😎💃🏽I apologize for taking my frustration out on you a few times while learning the turn. 😂😂 That back step came out of nowhere and then I needed specific instructions on foot placement. 😵💫 I decided, the turn consists of the back step, a quarter-turn cross step, and then a 180-degree pivot. I also had trouble trying to study where my shoulder was pointing while I was dancing. 😂 I realized that when you take the backstep, you'll be looking at where you'll end up facing. So no need to think about it. Whew!

That's so awesome. And you mentioned an important aspect. Most challenges are due to mental blocks and I try to instruct with a focus of unlocking this blocks. Once you break down most dances, they. aren't as hard as they initially seem.

I noticed during the second 8 count you actually turn your left foot to the left, which sets up the turn. Helpful visual!! I count that set as a straight count (without the “and”) so I know to turn my foot on 6. Thanks to this tutorial I’ve learned the dance. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
