Wait, YOU composed this music?? Bro, I LOVE SWTOR's music! It gives me the perfect Star Wars and KotOR vibes but it still has its own character. This game wouldn't be the same without the music. You probably won't believe it, but I'll say it anyway: I prefer SWTOR's music over the Sequel trilogy's music, which was composed by John Williams himself as you probably know.
Legendary
MY GUY
I play this game for the music - to me it's an interactive concert.
@C2W83 haha! yes.
"This is the way of our Order. An individual may die, but the Sith are eternal"

Come back tough guy.
Please come back to canon, we miss you
That Guy Over There no canon will kill his legacy
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
As far as I recall, you didn't care for the Sith at all, only to satisfy your everlasting hunger.
Korriban will always be the home of all those legendary sith
They renamed it to Moraband, yet funny enough in the Clone Wars you still see the Valley of the Dark Lords, and the Sith Academy, very identical to that of SWTOR.
Yes ! I thought the same !!
It was before Disney killed the original E.U in 2014. Today it would be harder for them to take content from KOTOR and SWTOR .
The Tomb Of Darth Bane Is The Sith Academy.
wdym in the clone wars?
@@deadsparta6600
There's an episode in Star Wars The Clone Wars (2008 tv series) where Yoda travels to Moraband (known as Korriban in SWTOR).
ClarkusMarkus Known as Korriban in literally all Star Wars lore until 2014. Was first mentioned in the Tales of the Jedi comics in the 90's, then appeared in KOTOR, KOTOR II, TOR and multiple Star Wars books and comics.
The call of Korriban is strong, but it is the call of the dead.
Komandant Data Korriban has nothing left to show me, but you might find answers here and perhaps some secrets that are better left forgotten.
"Kara Dat Kara onta po onta Karake olar Nak onta karakc"

Surrender to this call, ITS the TRUE Side of the force. This planet IS the dark side. Accept it and be reborn as New.
KORRIBAN IS WHERE I GOT MY 1ST SABER!
For The Empire !
For the Eternal Alliance!
Ezra Davis Me too!
Though the planet became a huge graveyard, it feels like there is an old hatred. One that cannot die.
And there always will be. The souls of many Sith rest there, keeping the evil very much alive. That's at least how I see it
@@raptortamerdx5900 Yes, Jedi actually tried to meditate on the planet's moon to try to "redeem" the planet. All that did, however, was drive those Jedi to insanity. That was info from the SWTOR Codex.
@@MalevolentSpirit234 wow
@@MalevolentSpirit234 anyone has their breaking point. The power of that planet is to push and test you until you finally break and embrace your base and dark nature. That is why this world is so dangerous - slowly it will eat at you until you can no longer recognize yourself.
In KOTOR 2, even though everyone is dead, it feels like you're being watched.
I wish Disney used the "A Star Wars Story" category, as a way to make original movies set in the Star Wars universe. Imagine a ghost/horror star wars story with new, original characters landing on Korriban and suffering the ancient wraths of the sith ghosts that lurks in the old tombs.
With Disney's current track record I'd be really careful about any such wishes. Unless Filoni is the one that writes them they tend to be crap.
@@Runenschuppe Hey, Rogue One was good. Solo had a few bright spots, but financially speaking, it flopped. Hard.
It could go a little something like this...
A group of New Republic archaeologists make a mistaken hyperspace jump to Korriban. They begin to explore their surroundings, but their Jedi escort, a young padawan, senses a dark side presence and feels that something is amiss. They accidentally stumble into an ancient Sith tomb and as they explore they begin finding bodies of people who came before them. The padawan, while snooping around, accidentally awakes the ghost inside the tomb, who begins reanimating corpses and sending them after the explorers. As they are killed one by one, they eventually find the center of the tomb, and battle the reanimated corpse of the Sith Lord who inhabits the tomb, culminating in a lightsaber battle or something flashy. Once they defeat him, the reanimated corpses die and they leave the tomb, only to find their starship destroyed. As they send out a distress beacon, the padawan's eyes begin to glow purple and she approaches one of her fellow archaeologists from behind, lightsaber drawn. There, the movie ends, leaving us in suspense as to what happened.
@@flyingfish5054 that would be an awesome story. I really liked the plot. Congrats. I hope that the new High Republic era will show us more about the ancient Sith and Korriban.

2:13 when you exit the tombs and stand right before the sith academy
I wanted to creep myself out, so i listened to this at 11.30 with all lights closed and the music really loud. Turns out, it really works, maybe more than it should.
If you're sith then you need to turn your fears into anger
good to hear you had your lights closed
Mark Griskey is fantastic! he did the track for kotor 2 as well. GREAT stuff
He made some excellent dark side music, I feel like that's really his strong suit.
My favorite planet, the amount of lore just buried in the sand waiting to be unraveled
2:46 NOSTALGIA CHILLS. Mark, I love you for putting that in there.
My first char was a Sith Inquisitor :) This track will be in my memories forever I hope
I didn’t know how to equip the lightsaber and i just sold it 💀💀💀. Also i had to beat the dromund kaas boss with the first things the game gives you 💀💀
it feels like if I'm really on Korriban!
Yeah
Perfect song for the barren wastes and dark tombs of Korriban.
I always imagined myself as a pure blooded Sith but with a different idealism then the traditional Sith. I preferred Darth Bane's ideas in regards to the temperance of undue bloodshed purely for entertainment and self-indulgence. If the empire had been more organized and less shackled by the mad men at the top, it would have have been truly unstoppable.
Honestly it was pretty tight before the great galactic war. Their drive for revenge was so strong that infighting wasn't as prevalent. Just normal Sith politics really but a sense of unity and belonging as well.
Perfect meditation music for a sith.

Lenin you are a Sith?
@Tim Burning the red side is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be...unnatural
I don't think anyone has captured the true malevolence of the Sith like Mark Griskey. His themes for the various Sith lords in KOTOR II were absolutely frightening. Darth Nihilus' Theme sounds like something that Lovecraft would have been proud to have attached to one of his Old Gods. Dark, sinister, ancient, and horrifying in a beautiful way.
This has shades of all of those themes.
Mark Griskey is definitely one of the great composers of dark orchestral Star Wars themes.
2:44 I love the transition from the Original score to the Valley of the Lords from Kotor 2, fantastic!
I feel the power trough the music. It is awesome.
The "Dark Side" is asking my service and i will make the republic bow in front of my power.
I'm glad I was introduced to this game, it made me like Sith a lot more than the Jedi/Republic even. I started off with a Jedi, fully interning to destroy the Sith but playing as a SW made me love the Sith/Empire a lot. Was good to see things from their point of view. Plus they had more respect for my light side Sith than Satele did for my slightly dark side Jedi...(that dumb bitch).
Yeah, I enjoyed both Sith storylines more than I did the Jedi storylines (the Guardian storyline is the only one worth playing. The Consular story is kinda stupid)
***** Goodness, I still haven't finished my consular story. It's been so hard for me to stay interested in it long enough to progress. I always just end up in groupfinder. I want to finish all 8 stories though, just have the consular and trooper to go :(
I didn't even bother finishing it. I moved on to the Imperial Agent instead (a MUCH better story, and arguably the best story campaign in the game)
The consular story doesn't really get moving until Act 3 as Act 2 is almost entirely set -up for the twist. After that reveal though and getting Nadia the main story starts to move at better pace and ties in with one of the comic prequels as well. Pro tip, bring Tharan to all the main story quests on Correlia and be sure to identify the dialogue choices that prompt him to chime in as well. You can get some good unique dialogue by having Tharan when you talk to the final boss over holo and before/after the last fight, but it's easy to miss.
Cantabile Ok, Idk when I'll finally log into my consular, it's still just lvl 22 but I'll keep it in mind.
and ***** totally agree, the agent story was amazing.
"La paix est un mensonge, il n'y a que la passion.

La Force me libérera." French version :D
4:56 best part. Mark is the master of horns/trumpets
Hell, yes! Just went through that moment the other day! Zabraks almost always look better as Sith than they do as Jedi.
Exegol is NOTHING! Korriban is the homeworld of my passion and Rage.
Both are dope, but swtor made me like korriban so much more
Guys, I am currently listening to this at 12 o'clock at night, its starting to freak me out!
I know, its fucking creepy
Turn your fear into anger
Dunno, it's 2 am and I'm literally meditating over 3:27 music. So calm and strong in one time
@Augustus True!
Most coolest and beautiful planets in Starwars
I like how they mixed in Kotor 2's Korriban score with SWTOR. It really works. :')
Same composer actually.
The music for Korriban fits so well with the starting quests for the SW and the Sinq. Excellent composition. Well done Mark!
@markgriskey Shivers up and down my spine from the moment this song started until the moment it finished. Fantastic composition, Mark!
Very good. Makes me wanna play all the more
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE MUSIC!!!!
that moment throws me into Valley of the Dark Lords for once more
Korriban. The birthplace of my power.
I love the darker music.. The Music that conveys this mood tends to be more powerful than the up beat kind of stuff... Loving this track!

They'll eat you right back. Arrogant jedi.
Tell that to the hundreds of Sith bodies piled up in my front lawn. :P
Tell that to the hundreds of Jedi piled up on Coruscant :P
Yeah, it took a bunch of Sith to do the work of one Jedi: me. For every one of us you kill, one hundred of you fall to my sabers. Soon, you will learn the meaning of the phrase "I'm here to kill Sith and drink blue milk... And I'm all out of blue milk."
Glad to hear you're glad to hear it! This is easily the best original score to any video game I've ever played.
God it already feels so damn nostalgic when I started to play this game back in 2011 after it's launch and discovering and experiencing the game for the first time.
I miss those old times. Back when the game at some parts was challenging and when my main charakter had to run through the sand dunes of tatooine because I couldn't aford the skill to use mounts xD
Peace is a lie, there is only passion;
Through passion, I gain strength;
Through strength, I gain power;
Through power, I gain victory;
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall set me free.
So much wisdom in those words
@markgriskey Great job with this song man, you really captured the atmosphere appropriate of the planet that is the home world of the Sith.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through power I gain Victory
The only music to listen to while venturing into a tomb of a long dead sith lord, slaying tukata or digging up an ancient sith holocron.
JUST OPEN, DAMMIT!
@markgriskey I find it remarkable that even the creator and composer comments on the RUclips posts. That really shows a connection to the fans; it shows that we aren't just numbers. It shows that the team really cares about its product, and in turn, shows that it really cares about us, the fans.
its so dark and gothic!! it gives me the chills!
I remember, just 5 months ago, I was sitting right here watching Dallas Dickinson narrate raids and battlegrounds, anxious for this game to release, and now we are only 9 days away from launch. Amazing how quickly time goes by once you think back, isn't it?
2:47 Oh hey KOTOR II, how's it going?
NyxorTheUltimate Is this an actual KotOR II track, or just inspired by it?
@@michaelensign8962 It's the same composer.

2 weeks, can't freaking wait.
awesome

Good times on Korriban... First steps in the force, first people elctrocuted to their death, first dark side level... Anyway young undecided force users, holocrons for everyone!
And once more the sith will rule the galaxy.
is it just me or does any one get a Nostalgic feeling like there inner evil/darkside starts to anger you when you listen to this song.
love this soundtrack its awesome.
I love this song, honor and glory to Korriban. The power of the dark side many covet but few know of his greatness ... Korriban is inspired by the grandeur of the Pharaohs and Ancient Egypt.
Themesong of my life.

Sends chills down you're spines when you read that and listen to the music of the Home-world of the Sith... Ea?

Looking forward to this in my CE.
The sound at the beginning of this soundtrack give me the creeps 😱😱😱
I FINALLY REACHED LEVEL 50!! I'm a non member but wow!! I'm coming back to Korriban for the last time before I quit the game
He does realise that the game doesn't finish at level 50 and he has to start a new story? Or is he insane
There is the Hutt Cartel Expansion, Fall of Revan, and the Knights of the Eternal Empire and Eternal Throne that will get you to level 70 currently, you still got a long way to go. Trust me, get one month of subscription and play those expansions. They also have good stories.
May as well. Got a few spare bucks around. BTW I'm a female.

I really love this game, but it has kind of gone down hill and is only really fun to play with friends now but I will always remember the fun I had with it, truly a great game.
I just got done beta testing this and the sound is the same in game its just too cool!
Nearly there. Almost 6 years of waiting, finally comes to an end.
Yeah, this song is perfect for Korriban.
Through Power we gain Victory.
Emotion yet peace
Technically, Korriban was where Sith learned the Ways of the Dark Side, as well as where the Sith Lords were buried
Morribans was where the Sith actually ruled from, until they upped stakes, and went to Ziost
Very nice, gives me the same vibes as Undercity music in WoW, this game is looking so good
@markgriskey Incredible... I've been a looong time RPG fan, played everything from Iron Lord to Ultima VI to WoW. Two of my all-time favorite RPG soundtracks were KOTOR II: TSL and Ultima VIII: Pagan. This track captures the "Sith Lords Theme" with the eerie atmosphere of "Catacombs" from the latter... Too good to be true :)
@markgriskey All the positive feedback is well deserved, man. Keep doing what you do, because you're awesome at it.

O My Homeland be the greatest of all.
I can hear a lot of KOTOR II music in these songs, and I like it.

It's just me, or 4:22 sounds like Palpatine theme?
@markgriskey you are amazing Mark. AMAZING! I might buy the collectors edition JUST for the OST.

There's only passion.
Back when I was young, my teacher asked the class to go home and watch something about history. When she asked what I watched, I said Star Wars. She said "That's not history." I said "it was in a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away."
Bits of the music from KotOR is implemented into the scores of Star Wars the Old Republic if you haven't noticed. Not to mention, they're all written/co-written by the same composer so it's not really comparable in that fashion, I wouldn't think.
The Sith Warrior treads up to the holocron that once was infested by shyracks. He then lowers himself to meditate in the facade of the stone slab with the archaic inscriptions, and the minute he begins meditating, the fighter began to feel a dark aura permeating his whole body. The Warrior heard whispering within the tomb, as if the spirits were augmenting his every instinct. But the Sith Warrior was in control: he rose his head, and opened his eyes to reveal a violent violent hue emanating.
