Can the door be opened manually??... meaning, if i don't wantvto use the motor to open it, can i just swing it open like a regular door?..... not for nothing, but i can see these mechanics breaking after time..... i open and close my doors a lot
It can be but there is resistance. There might be a method of releasing the motor from the door and then you can use the door manually. I cannot confirm that though. As for breakage, manual anything will always last longer than a power alternative. This is pretty tough though. Hard to say if/when/what will break but only time will tell.
My local ford dearlship said they don't have any kit like this in their system, and you have to build the van during purchase. I just bougt my 2023 xlt high roof but It doesn't have the power door. I purchased the van because I got a he'll of a deal. So I didn't get mines build. I also called Waldoc and spoke with them and they said they don't sell the Kits. I'm trying to a kit @ a reasonable price.
Thanks for posting. It looks like when you use the remote to open there is a loud thunk noise, but when you use the handle to open it doesn’t happen. Is this correct?
That would be news to us. We have vans one ground with power doors and vans on order with power doors. It could be on hold if you try and order right now from a dealer or some models don’t offer the power door.
@@Waldochs It is not the dealer. I am in Milwaukee Wis. I spec'ed out a new 2022 transit 250. I was told that if the door has glass a power is not an option and if you have the 253° rear doors it is not an option. The dealer was unable to find the option in their options list from Ford. If you have or can order a Transit 250 Turbo Gas 148 WB, non extended with rear glass doors and a power sliding door with glass and all power options with Navigation. I do not want windows on the drivers side cargo area. Need a removable oem bench seat. Crew vans are nonexistant. Please let me know. I need a van. mrgcav at gmail
@@mrgcav 2022 Transit Specs are not out yet, we are still ordering and building 2021 models, if you want please email us at info@waldoch.com we can help you maybe a little more. We do not show anything in the future that the power door will be removed from the transit line up.
can the power door be stopped -with the remote- part of the way through opening ? Like a garage door can ? so i can open it and just leave it open a crack if i want ? and if it can, does it stay cracked with some resistance from the motor so it wont slide open and closed ?
Just tested one now. It can be stopped half way or at any point you want, like a garage door. And it holds it in place. There's enough resistance it won't move.

What do you think of the new power door option?
Game changer for the handicap market
Thank you
Yes it is!
Can you add this as an after market install?
Yes there are aftermarket ones out there, nothing as good as the factory one.

Any Ford Dealer can help with the power door.

We didn’t hear that, we will take a look again and se if we hear something like thanks. Way to see the details
Better then the Chrysler automatic door opening
Are you comparing to the MiniVan power door?
