@typicaloutdoors3335 I'm still looking that part up. I grew up about an hour away and I'm looking for a cheap way to reset my life in that area. Fresh and salt water fishing is kinda what I want to do till I die lol. So not sure yet
Ah don't matter to me I like it hot out the cold really gets to me I'll be hog hunting while scouting for some new hunting spots I'll be going deep into the forest this year
Do you always hook your croaker like that? I usually see folks hook ‘em towards the back near the anal fin. To me this helps the croaker swim away from you so you can keep a better connection to him and know when he is nervous and feel the bite Also good cause often you pop them to pull em up and then they will try to swim back down in the grass ect. This is what helps trigger a bite. Obviously both ways worked I was just wondering your reasoning.
I would say that is the most popular way to hook them. I have noticed over the years that when I hook them that way it does help them swim, but more likely to throw them off during a cast, My hook up ratio has been better. If that way of hooking them works better for you keep doing that. This way works better for me.
I just recently started saltwater fishing and want to try wade fishing here in Galveston but don’t know anyone who can show me how. Looks really peaceful and fun out there!
Man it's a great way to fish. The south shorelines of most bays are a great place to start. Just beware of the possibility that there are stingrays, holes, mud, and shell beds. Good wade boots or shoes is a must. I think a company out of Corpus or Port O'Conner can't remember, but they have a great boot that is perfect for protection from stingrays. Maybe a floatation device being new to it might be a good idea. Good luck out there. And thanks for watching the channel!!
@@typicaloutdoors3335 Hey boss, how much do them little croaks cost? A dollar a fish? If that was the price, I'm thinking two dozen = $24 + $20 styrofoam cooler = $44 for one redfish. Ouch.
@@typicaloutdoors3335 I don't do it as much as I would like to ; my work schedule usually prevents it. If I have to work 6 days, it's hard to go on a sunday because I just want to recharge and I'm going to want to watch NFL soon lol. As for losing money fishing, I used to come out on the negative too, but I stopped buying live bait and just use artificials so I still lose some $ in gas and all that, but it's not that bad. Also, what is the freshwater bait you said that you wanted to try, but I don't think I saw you using it?
Awesome, just ordered a Kistler chromium to try out. Keep the videos comin!
