The complex history of German is mentioned in the Rammstein track 'Deutschland'. In a nutshell it means that they can do a lot good, but there is always a shadow of the war. You want to feel proud, but you can't because of... well the war (although you despite it). I live next to Germany (a 15 minute drive) and I know that there are a lot Germans feeling this way. So in my opinion it is one of the best Rammstein songs.
Learning about this war - was necessary for Russians at school, plus there is a lot of history and sad stories in every family in Russia, well and in many other countries. But, every person who think - knows that German ppl have nothing to do with some crazy nazi in the past , although ppl with this “White privilege ideology” still exist. Today we call it racism. New to your channel. I appreciate how you responded to this song. This was the first song of theirs I ever heard around 2007 and I quickly made them my favorite band. This piece is a good example that without Flake Rammstein would never have been what they are. Again and again he is only moved into the nerd corner and underestimated enormously. What most people remember is only the treadmill he is running on while playing. Most of the Rammstein pieces are backed by a mostly inconspicuous but sometimes bombastically symphonic sound body combined with techno elements and so much more. It´s done so cleverly that it is hardly noticeable in the foreground. But if you take it out of the equation and mix it away at the mixer console, the rest sounds almost like any metal band. Together with the typical Rammstein monster guitar riffs the keyboards in the background fill up the entire sound, make things round, and not at least because of this Rammstein sounds so unique ! Certain languages almost seem to convey certain moods or attributes, don't they? The French language is generally equated with romance, and it just feels romantic. I equate the German language with strength and resolution. I think it can also be equated with aggression just because of the whole Nazi history, but I think it's probably more accurate to equate the Nazi component to one particular leader, whereas I feel the German language as a whole, historically lends itself more to a feeling of strength and resolution? That all just came to me in the span of a minute as I was listening to you speak about Rammstein's choice to sing in German even though most bands that want to be International sing in English. You're inspiring forms of philosophy from me, and no other channel does THAT!! So yes, this is where you begin to really set yourself apart from other channels. Others just do a quick natural reaction, and those are entertaining, but you put a lot more time and substance into yours, and this one feels like you have started to really come into your own, taking it to the next level, it's very impressive.

This piece is a good example that without Flake Rammstein would never have been what they are. Again and again he is only moved into the nerd corner and underestimated enormously. What most people remember is only the treadmill he is running on while playing. Most of the Rammstein pieces are backed by a mostly inconspicuous but sometimes bombastically symphonic sound body combined with techno elements and so much more. It´s done so cleverly that it is hardly noticeable in the foreground. But if you take it out of the equation and mix it away at the mixer console, the rest sounds almost like any metal band. Together with the typical Rammstein monster guitar riffs the keyboards in the background fill up the entire sound, make things round, and not at least because of this Rammstein sounds so unique ! I agree. I also play keyboard and I feel it brings a whole new depth and dimension to any song that uses the instrument. Rammstein was wise in choosing to use the power of keyboards.

By the way Til does this specific move, called "Til Hammer" cause he had dislocated his knee before a concert and repeatedly hit it in the backstage area to bring it back in. The other band members found this movement totally cool so that he he adopted it for the stage !
Apart from the fact that Til is a trained pyrotechnician, at Rammstein concerts a special stage worker is very close to the stage and is connected by a microphone to the person who controls the fire. He feels the temperature on his cheek and gives corresponding instructions whether you can still step it up a notch or the flames have to be reduced.

At some point Ramstein discovered that you can make up with instant coffee. According to concentration, black to red spots appear, which looks like dirt or blood. Flake was hyper nervous all the time during an earlier tour. What did he forget ? That he was made up with lots of coffee in the evening during every concert - Maybe the reason why he needs a treadmill 😉?

Exactly this concert in Germany took place about 20 km from where I lived and you could still hear it over a hill in between and see the light show flickering in the distance. You could clearly experience the sound level at which Rammstein are traveling 💥🤯

This song was originally written as the entrance theme for a boxer... thankfully the boxer didn't user it so now we all can enjoy it.
You don't need to understand the song! It's one of the rare exeptions for Rammstein. As it's realy a non sensical song! It's a by product. They wrote this song as entrance hymn for a boxer. And then they changed some words in the song from "Champion" or so to "Sonne" (Sun).

Rammstein's success though singing in German is based on combining the well-known stereotypes of Nazi-Germany - megalomania, militarism, nationalism - with the hard and clear sound of short words pronounced in High German.

There really isn't that much of anything not to like with this reaction channel...just saying. Pretty big list as to what to react to next from Rammstein, but I would vote for *MEIN HERZ BRENNT* would be the first, without question.
