I'm a recent revert after walking away from Catholicism as a young adult. A critical reason for my return is finding how very warm and human the Church has been this time around. I'm constantly thanking my priests and deacons for this! My childhood experience was quite the opposite.

Thank you Father 🙏 My children were sexually abused by a self proclaimed holy person in my life. They are now atheists because of this torture and abuse. Have turned away from Jesus. 💔 Please pray for my family Father John. I’m healing with Jesus- it’s so hard. I do offer it up. I have to truly “Jesus, I trust in You” HOPE 🙏

Thank you, Fr Riccardo, for your honesty and humility; your testimony is very helpful and hopefully can help us to better understand/prevent serious problems which are (sadly) more common than we think. Our level of awareness needs to be raised in order to protect our children.

My grandchildren are being molested and the law will not do anything about it. The little girls have to tell. The little one told me so I shared it and they threw me out of their life. Have not seen them in 2 yrs. I carry a lot of pain. I am a widow and have buried a child. I am closer to get than I have ever been. God Bless you..
It happens with lay people too. I tried to start a St Monica Club for people whose kids had left the church and only three people showed up. Everyone is too embarrassed and do not want others to know they have problems. I stopped doing it.
