His character is named JB Meredith in the script. It was revised during production. If you pay attention to the credits, you’ll see that many of the immigrants are named after the actors playing them. They’re basically playing their own ancestors.
I liked both Heaven's gate and King Kong. Those two are films are always mixed reviews films. Some reviewers love them and others think they're rubbish. King Kong is entertaining but it suffers a bit from some corny special effects and goofy characters.

Both are good and well-done films that are still underrated....aside from some clunky F/X and edits in "Kong" i'll give u that
