Great video! Can you share the locations of the restaurants please? We're in Koh Phangan now and looking for exactly that kind of local spots! :)

Hi Elizabete, just send me a private message on Instagram (@streetfoodpete) with your email address. Then I'll be happy to send you a list of the restaurants with the exact locations (google maps).

Rest days is also a good spot for rice soup but they do also sell out pretty fast!

Isan-style som tum usually doesn't have peanuts in it.

In this video you see a tam taeng kwaa ( Thai cucumber salad) and not a som tam ( papaya salad) and the restaurant owner comes definitely from the Isan region so I think he knows how to do his salads 😉 ... anyway it was very delicious

@@streetfoodpete I live in Isan all my life, I’ve never had tam tang with peanuts. Ground peanuts is for noodles condiments. And it’s quite dangerous since Westerners tend to allergic to peanuts.

Mmmm, the locals need all the help they can get, so why not tell us the locations on the vlog for maximum exposure for their business 🤷‍♂️. There’s a beautiful Buddhist temple called Wat Ruese Pa Saeng Tham right next to the Chinese temple that’s also well worth checking out, very interesting structures in an amazing natural setting!

Thanks for your comment. If you like you can send me a pm on Instagram and I provid you with a list of the google maps locations, most of the shops has no website or internet presence, that's why tried to explain some locations directly in the video. I'm an absolutely beginner in this RUclips business, so I still need to practice and find out how to transport all the information the best way. The Buddhist temple sounds interesting. Thanks for the recommendation
