How impressive to not only have manifested this vision from 12 years old, but to be able to run a business from her home and still make the small space functional. For the functionality and beauty of it, I thought 85,000 was reasonable, but I am Canadian and it would be very reasonable in Canadian dollars. Sensational - what a beautiful build this is. Stand up bedroom, flushing toilet, fabulous window with so much light coming in - so clean, neat and organized. This young woman really has her head together and it sounds like the development is also a good place to live. She has everything you need including a washer/dryer and is so positive!
That's fantastic! I used to live in Lake Dallas. It was not that welcoming and nice 8 years or so. My son was bullied. Wonderful to see a lovely tiny community with happy kids! Fantastic example of tiny home community!

I'm not quite 8 minutes into the video, but had to stop and drop a comment because I love that a couple times already she has made the comment of "being in service" or "after a long day of service". What an inspiration - that you speak this way is evidence of your living this way. I'm a high school secretary and pray each morning as I drive to work, asking God to help me be of service and to be patient, kind, and accepting to the students, parents, and staff. I find that I still can have negative thoughts or judgmental thoughts at times, and always wish that wouldn't happen. I think what is missing is my being more intentional and actually going beyond praying each morning and night to letting those words out during the day. I can tell Tyshae is a person pursuing excellence. You go girl!

Love how creative they can be to give the owner exactly what they need and want with simple changes to the floor plans available!
This is exactly what I needed to see! I've been fascinated with tiny homes for years now and I love to see the architectural differences. I personally balk at the idea of having to crawl around my bedroom so this design is PERFECT! And can we just take a moment to discuss those steps to the bed?! Wow! I have finally found the solution I was looking for to get up to a small loft in my little walk-in closet. The closet's too small to have stationary steps but this is the perfect solution.
I viewed this homeowner's home tour on another channel a while ago. She and several others who live in that tiny home community made videos showing their homes and the community that was created in Dallas. I liked her home because hers was one of the first I saw that although technically a loft, she designed her bedrooms to be standing height so there's no crawling involved. I also liked her balcony because that's also something you don't see on very many tiny homes.
Her awesome attitude and energy obviously led her to do and be what she wanted to do and be. Funny how the universe works that way. Love the house loved the layout. Really cool. Indigo seems like a wonderful builder

Tyshae, love you tiny house. It feels so warm and intentional. You've really inspired me to begin my journal and move forward with my 10 year dream to retire, own and reside in a tiny house community or rent land on a black own farm.
She did a lot of mental and physical work for her dream, but I have to give it to her parents who were there for her emotionally, intellectually - highly supportive of her, basically telling her to believe in herself and her abilities to climb higher ("Don't worry, the money will be there for you when you need it"), and provided for her a steady foundation of support and love. That was her springboard. Without them, she would have had a far more difficult time realizing her dream, and it would have been later in life. So - kudos to her mom and dad!
Your story is the best I've seen so far! So inspiring! I'm currently looking into tiny living and so far have downsized from a 3000 sqft home to a 1400 sqft home and soon down to a 1000 sqft to retire in.
