Thank you so much. I'm an avid cyclist of many disciplines, MTB, gravel, road but regarding training I didn't want to spend a lot of money for useless features. Your video is greatly done. Best wishes upon you.
Thanks for this video! I have a dumb exercise bike and really keen to get motivated by heart rate zone training, stats tracking, etc. Appreciate the tips in what hardware to buy and set it up. But do you have any app recommendations? It looks like you used Strava around 4:28?
Glad you enjoyed the video. You’ve now got a smart(er) bike. The app I have used to track were the Wahoo app and the zwift app (as both are compatible with the sensors). After I’d completed the activity, the session automatically syncs to my strava (which was what I showed on screen)
This is exactly what I want to know. Looking to connect my spin bike to Zwift since two days and I am nothing but confused. There should be a much simple way to convert my mounted screen data to bluetooth signal so I can connect that to phone?
Interesting video. You say the speed sensor is not set up exactly according to the instructions, which I guess would usually be on the hub of a normal push bike. So is the idea to get it as close to the centre of the “wheel” as possible and use double-sided tape or Velcro to attach it? Thanks
What additional accessories would you add to make it smarter?

Thanks. I’m happy to hear that the video was helpful to you 😃
The flywheel on my spin bike has no spokes. Where can I attach my speed sensor?
Minute 3:02, what application is this?
It’s the wahoo fitness app
@@conveyorofrandomness Wahoo fitness app, can you record your exercise?

@@conveyorofrandomness Thank you! Now I understand. Off to the store to get those Wahoo sensors!
@ashleyek7974 👍🏾
Is there any way to connect the already mounted screen with data already shown to a computer?

@sameerhussain444 Glad the video helped. I agree, a company is missing a massive gap in the market to convert those older bikes into smart bikes
@@conveyorofrandomness Thanks for the great video nonetheless.

Yes you’re correct. As close to the centre of the wheel as possible
@@conveyorofrandomnessThank you very much for confirming. I think I’ll give it a go in that case!
@christopherdavis473 you’ll just need to make sure that the wheel diameter of bike is correct so the virtual speed matches the actual speed.
@@conveyorofrandomnessGot it. Thanks again for the extra advice!

thanks for the video, i’ll tell you how my setup works out
Glad you found the video helpful 👍🏾
hey can i use app like mywhoosh or zwift with these sensors if no do you know any other apps can be run with these senors (simillar to zwift)
I have used these on zwift, but zwift does restrict the maximum power that that is displayed (to prevent cheating)
THANK YOU! My smart bike just died, I only had it for 2 yrs and I wasn't wanting to get rid of it.
You’re welcome, glad you found the video helpful. I’m assuming that you’re bike isn’t covered under warranty
Can you use this setup for zwift?
Yes you can. You’ll just have to be wary that zwift limits the maximum wattage to 400w, when power is calculated from speed sensor signals
Thanks for sharing
Glad you found the video useful
