My mom bought one for me, for Christmas 2019. I didn't like them growing up because of the clean up. But since the plates come off, I love it. And yes, like you said, everything DOES cook extremely fast! Lol.
Really appreciate this instructional video. Just bought a small size GF-Grill. Getting ready to use it for the first time. Saw some pork chops at the store but wasn't sure how long to cook them. I am not the greatest cook in the world but I'm fairly confident that I can cook some chops now. Thanks for the help.
This video was wonderful. A lot of GF videos just have people throwing the protein on the grill and calling it a day, but I liked that you really walked us through the process from the features of your particular grill, to prep, to cooking, to clean up. Well done.
True story, Hulk Hogan was originally approached about being paid to create his own home grill... he turned it down, George Forman said yes... and the legend was born.
Sherry, this makes me want another one since I'm usually here alone. it would be ideal. We used one for years in SP, but I think we wore it out. It didn't make it to the beach with us. Thank you so much for sharing this, I may have Greg pick us up another one when he goes grocery shopping next time for me. Lots of Love💜
I watched you pop that one out and was very impressed. Does the top one pop out too? I'm having a real issue with not eating. You would think I would lose some weight but I've never been this big and I hate it. I just don't feel like cooking. The problem is I have a problem sitting as well as standing. Since I fell again it's really messed me up. Thank you again Sherry for everything you put on line. I enjoy these so much! You always make me smile.
George Foreman Grill has become an Iconic American Brand found in the majority of home kitchens. George himself has been a great spokesperson for it with his cheerful good natured persona. He just comes across as trustworthy. I don't think a Mohamed Ali Grill would have been as convincing. lol
After scraping, one can also put in dishwasher. Be sure to put the oil catcher under the front to catch grease drippings. Let grill cool completely before moving it. I flip whatever I’m cooking after cooked half way for a more even searing. Meat continues to cook after removing, so allow for that. Makes great grilled cheese sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches in just a few minutes.
I like how simple this is and it looks very tasty.I'm from the south and I grew up eating fried, greasy pork chops.lol They were DELISH! I can't eat that way now but I might have to give that Foreman grill a go. Tfs-Vicki
Hi VIcki! It is so simple! I was hesitant to make a video about it...but a couple of my page friends asked me to do it, so I did. Try it and you will use the Foreman all the time! Thanks for taking the time to comment. ~Sherry
Have you done lamb shoulder chops on the George Foreman grill? Have you seen the George Foreman Evolve grills? They are awesome! They have interchangeable grill plates and waffle plates, I love it!
It's a little past midnight and now I'm hungry for a grilled pork chop. Yum! Thanks for the review and demonstration, Sherry. I can see burgers, hot dogs, quasadillos (sp!?!), chicken and panini sandwiches! Maybe even veggies. (:
Has yours had sticking issues I had one of these the Walmart version and it stuck badly bought a non Walmart George foreman(more expensive) and no sticking
I'm just curious...if the top and bottom both grill at the same time, why is there a need to turn the meat over halfway through cooking? Thank you for the video...I'm from Alabama so I love your way of talking! :)
the top section on a foreman is 15% cooler than the bottom section to avoid you burning your hand instantaneously when picking up the lid, required by law on all household cooking appliances. so always goods to turn it over. i worked in the household cooking appliance bizz for 18 years !
I just bought a new one and it doesn't have that feature either! But the good news is its super easy to clean...and it has a feature that makes the grill a space saver.
I had this same one threw it away because the top stop heating correctly just the bottom so I had to turn the food over I replaced my foreman grill with a t-fal opti grill best choice 👍🏾
Frank Sheh - I live in an apartment too and have had several George Foreman grills. They’ve all smoked, more if you’re cooking something that chars (most proteins) but they’ve smoked worse as I’ve used them and the paint has begun to break down with use, any grease or particles that get in the hinge area (can’t wash that area as well because of the cord), and the consistent high heat and washing, which breaks down the nonstick finish. What has helped me is putting the entire grill on the stovetop with the exhaust vent running and opening a window. That said, I’m searching for my 4th grill now because the grill is smoking too much.
It’s really weird seeing what’s considered a good grill in US. The removable plates are easily cleaned but the heat transfer is worse, since there’s air between the heat source and the plates. Using metal fork or other cutlery on non-stick plates is very unhealthy since what you eventually scrape off the plates you end up eating. The hinge on the grill looks very basic since it can’t adapt to different thickness of meat being grilled. I got the Breville The Smart Grill Pro (Sage BGR840 called here), non-stick plates are removable but have the heat source built-in, top plate adjusts to the thickness of meat and with temperature probe I know exactly when the meat is done.
Thanks .. you mean cutlets..... If it does not have bone attached it is NOT a pork chop. It is like saying a porterhouse is still a T-Bone. You are lovely and videos are great though....smiles
@@browngirlwhiteboy4043Actually she is correct. The difference between a pork chop and a cutlet is simply a matter of preparation. A pork chop is a slice of the pork loin, which can be done at different thicknesses and with OR without bones. A pork cutlet is a boneless pork chop that has been pounded thin to tenderize & create faster & more even cooking

I saw the plate in the thumbnail and it's the same that my grandmother has! Made me feel nice

I bet he regretted that decision... I can see him as the spokesman...
Hulk hogan makes so much sense but God knows George was in need of this breakthrough.
GREAT video!👍. Those chops look DELISH!😋. Thanks for sharing another cooking segment with us!🤗
Thank you friend :)

Wow, Thanks for this, I'm in England, UK and I was interested to see how the pork would cook on mine, Thanks x

Lawry's Steak and Chop marinade makes them really delicious.
1 towel paper is enough to clean the grill while its hot, it takes 30 seconds

Having a gathering this weekend in the house...Thank You!

I enjoyed the down home folksy approach and the tips on using my new George Foreman grill.
Thank you so much!!
I use my George Foreman grill a lot too
Greeting from Britain. You have a beautiful voice.
My George Foreman Grill is very powerful it's the same one but different color mine is red
Great Video... Thank you for posting..... HUNGRY :)

I haven't made the lamb chops but they sound wonderful!
Yum! Thank you for the video!

Yes...the ideas are limitless! I made the four pork chops and we had two last night and then two tonight. They were great both times :)
How long you do chops for in grill please
Has yours had sticking issues I had one of these the Walmart version and it stuck badly bought a non Walmart George foreman(more expensive) and no sticking
Thank you for the video. appreciate it!
that looks good that reminds me I want to cook on my grill in right now
Thank you for the help! :)
Wonderful video ❤
Thank you for watching!

@@dd52161 That's a great explanation and makes perfect sense. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! :)
I like the Southern accent too. All the way from the other side of the world.
A nice looking grill :-)
Try brining them add lime to make them tender dip in flour for browning
Fantastic review.
How long did you cook on both sides please
Looks tasty😃
But the instruction book says no aerosol spray. Be safe. Great video. 🙂
Thanks for letting me know about that! I have stopped using the spray for grilling...
Great video!
I literally just bought one today and it doesn't have the feature to take the plates off 😭
I just bought a new one and it doesn't have that feature either! But the good news is its super easy to clean...and it has a feature that makes the grill a space saver.
you didn't say how long or what temperature, advertisement for grill only.
There was no temperature gauge on this grill. And the cooking time depends on the thickness of your chops.
If you want more color on your pale meat, season it with paprika, annatto, or turmeric (or a blend)...adds color and nutrients.
Where u buy steak and chop seasoning
very helpful. thanks
Mine is arriving on this Thursday ...
My Grill has a temperature control. I use aluminum foil to avoid clean up
That's a great idea!

Use parchment paper
My plug crackled turns off it self and notice it heats the plug any answers
I have had no issues with my grill like that. Perhaps you could return it or call the manufacturer and see if they will replace it.
Sounds like the work of Joe Sneaky Smirk 😏 Biden. The president NEGLECT.
Cool!

@@F3141592653589793239 This video is 8 years old so Foreman grills have changed since then. But we enjoyed this grill while we had it.
Ive got a george foreman grill its a small one
Do not grease or olive oil, your pan it sticks to your grill you don’t need to
Daily use 😆
looks nice. xxx
👏👏👏
It certainly does not look as if the lower element was working, no searing at all!
Flipping is almost pointless
I've seen a few videos of people using George Foreman grills and it always seems like the top side heats up more than the bottom side.
They are burnt lines of blurtness
DO NOT USE PAM ON THOSE PLATES!! Read the grill advise that comes with the grill.

Proof that some people should stick to radio than youtube
@5:21 "Okay, friends. I have just lifted the lid."
Lies. The grill mark on the left chop proves you lied. To Us. -_-
A very nice lady but these are not pork chops. Chops have bone attached which is why they don't cook well in a grill press.
These are boneless pork chops.
