I perfectly agree with you. I don't know why alot of people abroad think that those in Ghana are lazy and don't want to workhard.
When I was in Ghana, I always get to work before 7:00pm and the earliest I get home is 8:00pm. I was working more than 8hours everyday but there was no overtime for me unlike when you are in abroad. If you work beyond your 8hrs shift, you are guaranteed overtime which will paid to you. Let's us be truthful to ourselves how many people in Ghana receives overtime if they work beyond 8hrs. Pls tell me if you know of anyone. For me I don't believe the school of thought which saids that Ghanaians back home are lazy. We are naturally hardworking people, is just that we are not paid well enough to correlate the work we do.
Come to America or in Europe and you here alot of good stuff said about Ghanaian workers. We dont play with our job and I understand it because over here, you received your Paycheck based on the number of hours you have worked. Nobody will take your money if you have worked, unlike in Ghana, that sometimes people don't receive their salaries eventhough they have work.
So nobody should say people back home are lazy. It's not true bro. How can a lazy person suddenly change to work hard when he/she travels. There's is a reason - Is the money factor. Look at all these Kayeyes, trotro drivers, farmers and even the middle class, most of these people sweet their blood out, but at the end of the month, how much do they receive. It nothing to write home about.
So Ghanaians abroad, please lets stop always saying Ghanaians back home are lazy, the economy, environment and the standards in abroad is totally different from what we have in Africa. Let's us all help to change the system in Africa.

To some extent, you're very right. I used to say a similar thing before moving abroad but I wouldn't argue with you.
I pray that you get the opportunity to travel to your dream country and testify everything yourself.
No one believes people abroad before there is money here. Interesting 😢😮😊

Bro, I don't agree with you on the akwajuro bit. The systems here do not support that kind of arrangement.
And about going to work even when it is snowing as compared to people staying home when it's raining in Ghana, please know that our infrastructure makes it a bit impossible for one to go to work sometimes when the weather is not favorable.
