As a new fan of 🐫, since 2023, I understand exactly how you feel. However, I think all the aforementioned are outstanding, none better than the other 😊
Just dawned on me that I've been lucky enough to see all three guitarists live. Both Dave, and Mark are incredibly talented players with great feel. But Andy's feel, tone, and ability to control feedback while somehow playing a lullaby with a sprinkling of jazzy notes, really is something else.
I like how many people here have the same opinion as mine; all three are superb, but Andy Latimer is above them, his way of communicating emotions is unique. It comes from very deep inside of him.
Knopfler and Gilmour are superb players, but for emotion, Andy Latimer is clearly the God. The best guitarist I've ever heard. But Steve Rothery, Steve Hackett, Mike Holmes, Nick Barrett, John Mitchell and Bryan Josh are also fantastic.
@@AugCorreiaI have all the recorded output of Steve Hackett and simply missed him off the list. Terrible error. His solo on Firth of Fifth is one of my top 3 solos. Post amended.
Well now, after reading the vast majority of these comments, it seems like I'm in the minority. Personally, I couldn't choose between the three, but I do concur that Mr Latimer is a master at his craft. I've only learned of 🐫 back in 23, in fact I believe they should have been MUCH more popular than they are
Mark is a GREAT player and gets superb and tasty guitar sounds. I'd rather listen to Marillion live at RAH than any Floyd. And far above them all is THE MASTER. A man who can bring grown men to tears. I witnessed that at the Bath Forum just before the RAH concert. Keep getting well Andy - We Love you.
Fantastic choice, these three gentlemen are exactly my pick.. Andy and David sounds very similar. I have grown up with these three and I'm so grateful to had experience of seeing them alive. I really can't choose but If I had to then Mr Andrew Latimer is the one..
Great, great, great players, truly, the two of them ... and then there's Andy Latimer! End of! (By the way, give John Mitchell (Arena, Frost ...) a much needed listen, as he's almost never mentioned)
To me that's the truly remarkable solo (pan flute and guitar) in the live version of 'Stationary Traveller'. I can never keep it dry ... > ruclips.net/video/VfF2UZjXx_g/видео.html (from 2 minutes 59 onwards). Chillingly beautiful!
Where We Start Lyrics : Where we start is where we end We step out sweetly with nothing planned Along by the river we feed bread to the swans And then over the footbridge to the woods beyond We walk ourselves weary, you and I There's just this moment I light a campfire away from the path We lie in the bluebells, a woodpecker laughs Time passes slowly our hearts entwined All of the dark times left behind The day is done The sun sinks low We fold up the blanket, it's time to go We walk ourselves weary, arm in arm Back through the twilight Home again We're home again We waltz in the moonlight and the embers glow So much behind us Still far to go Still far to go
Is there any guitarist in this world who can make his guitar crying with as much emotion as Andy Latimer?
As a new fan of 🐫, since 2023, I understand exactly how you feel. However, I think all the aforementioned are outstanding, none better than the other 😊
Gary Moore
Roine Stolt
No. He is the best. So much feeling.
I'm delighted to see so many votes for Latimer - the most underrated guitarist in the world. No one does melody and emotion better.
No one compares to Latimer
Andy Latimer the best of the 3 by far...
Andrew Latimer is the best !
By a million miles
Best ever forever..

Three great players. But Andy Latimer is simply the best.

Andy ❤
I vote Andy Latimer ❤
Me, I cannot vote 👍🎸
Well, Knopfler and Gilmour are great guitarists, of cours. But Andy Latimer, he is something else 👏👍🎸
I like how many people here have the same opinion as mine; all three are superb, but Andy Latimer is above them, his way of communicating emotions is unique. It comes from very deep inside of him.
Very well said 👍🏻
For me Latimer is the best!
Andy is the best guitarist and the best voice too ...easily by a million miles .
All my favorites but when Andy Latimer plays, the guitar talks to my soul!
Latimer❤❤❤
Andrew Latimer is the best //love you andy

Steve Hackett. Ring a bell?

Indeed the choice is not easy at all 👍🏻🎸👍🏻
Latimer

Gilmour
Knopfler
Latimer!
Thank you for this video, especially because it validates my opinion that these three are my favorite guitarists ever 😊
Latimer é pura emoção! Ice, Summer Ligthning, Stationary Travellers, Longe Goodbyes são músicas que captam toda a emoção deste incrível músico.
Concordo plenamente com.voce, so que voce esqueceu a obra prima the snow goose 🎸👌🏻
Andy Latimer. Idk how someone can bring out the human emotion out of a mere object like a guitar.

Racja Latimer to niedoceniony mistrz jego styl odpowiada mi i pasuje .
Great, great, great players, truly, the two of them ... and then there's Andy Latimer! End of! (By the way, give John Mitchell (Arena, Frost ...) a much needed listen, as he's almost never mentioned)
The winner is
Andy Latimer
Lawrence ending solo is the most emotional piece of music I have heard in my life.

Steve Hackett and Andy Latimer, among living guitarists, are the best of all in this respect
1 Andrew Latimer 2 David Gilmour
Andy < 3
👍🙏👍
Esatto verissimo top
"Darkrew Giphimer" is the greatest rock guitarist ever!!!
I never heard about him, he is from a famous rock band ?
@@planetmusic11 Yes!! (DA)vid ma(RK) and(REW) = Darkrew // (GI)lmour kno(PF)ler lati(MER) = Giphimer. Just for fun friend :)
nice combination :)@@selimcalli
😂
Nice tracks TNX
I've seen all three and more and Latimer is top of the pile. Up there with Gary Moore.
Where We Start Lyrics :
Where we start is where we end
We step out sweetly with nothing planned
Along by the river we feed bread to the swans
And then over the footbridge to the woods beyond
We walk ourselves weary, you and I
There's just this moment
I light a campfire away from the path
We lie in the bluebells, a woodpecker laughs
Time passes slowly our hearts entwined
All of the dark times left behind
The day is done
The sun sinks low
We fold up the blanket, it's time to go
We walk ourselves weary, arm in arm
Back through the twilight
Home again
We're home again
We waltz in the moonlight and the embers glow
So much behind us
Still far to go
Still far to go
My Lords😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
amo tds eles
We have a lot in common! We may have been born in the same city! Just a guess 😊
Latimer for sure but Ice is far better than Lawrence
You missed Steve Hackett
Steve Hackett is great but not in their level of emotions.
Chris Rea deserves be included with Easy rider or Stony road,
Add Steve Rothery into the mix...
What's camel's track?
Lawrence
That one with Latimer's picture on video. But there's too much music without Latimer's guitar
From the Camel album Rajaz.
