I know this is a old video, but I just got my grow tent today. I’m in an apartment as well mine is the next size up, but I’m going to make it work. Picking up my preordered import’s tomorrow so excited, will be using your method of cleaning and acclimating. Thanks for sharing.

Ok... I'm a first time viewer (now subscriber!) looking for info on grow tents and I really enjoyed your video... First, you had me with your beautiful furbaby! Loved the subtitles and how much he "helped" you... mine would be doing the same thing but he's a 100+ lb black lab!!! Also... I can soooo relate to your difficulties getting the things put together-- I have my moments also! Hope you get your pest critters under control.....

Words to describe mealybugs: circumference, diameter. Lol. I hate plant pests however I find joy in turning a fluffy white mealy bug orange with an alcohol Q-tip.
Love watching your step by step process! Very real and informative and I can definitely relate lol! Do you happen to know where your closet shelving came from? And can more shelves be added? That is exactly what I need for my grow tent!

I've been thinking about a grow tent that size to have in the spare room, but I think the bf would kill me even though it was his idea. I could put my Gloriosum in there then whilst it's acclimatising without molestation from the cat, and perhaps give my baby Warocqueanums a chance. One of the baby leaf is going yellow, and I'm telling myself it's because the roots need to get started, but it's hard to know what the hell is going on as there 's zero info online on young plants. 😩 The grow tent could give my babies and some of my rarer Hoyas a bit of a boost in a controlled climate. Our man JArmstrong likes his Hoyas in his tent! Thanks again for an incredibly educational video and giving us a rare insight to a effing bug infestation. May you vanquish them and win the war quickly! And know that your following here on YT and Insta will always smother you with love and support!
I know this comment is super old but did you ever get a tent?! I actually have my tent inside a closet now- maybe you could try that if you have some extra closet space?!
thanks for another great video!👏🏾👏🏾 pudge should have his own channel (for his fan club😉). I am going through a maddening thrips situation right now. sprayed all the plants with dead bug brew and put the really infected alocasia sting rays in the garage. still not in the mood to strip them down and deal with it. interestingly, they seem happier and are growing nicely in the semi-dark garage 🤷🏽♀️
Oh no!! It’s definitely peak thrips season right now I feel. Every open window in my apartment is a threat 😂 I hope you can get rid of yours soon!!

Lady bugs are cute they eat mealybug i buy green lace wings with time i learn to like them over yhe years 😆...they eat mealybug ,thrips, mites ...i find them really reliable!!
Ohh I’d love to hear your experience with green lacewings! I’ve been wanting to try those out- especially now that I have a tent! Do you use them in an enclosed space? I’m just a bit afraid to have them loose around the apartment 😆
My plants are all over my house ...they stay hidden on the plants sometimes is hard to find them but they are there feeding even in extra floral nectar. When they grow fat you can see them but then when there is no more food after 15 days to a month they die!! I have never see them crawling around my house lol .just the plant leaves ...they would love your green house and the humidity in there. They will not develop in to a mature ones im not sure why ( but i think is better). I buy from growliv too.

Every plant parents worst nightmare Bugs any of them I hope you are rid of them soon. I feel stupid I brought a bottle of root rot and forgot I had it ! So here is me too alcohol and cotton tips. Really like the grow tent be good too see them in a few weeks. Thanks for the vid.

I'm so glad I found your channel! I literally just followed you on IG. How did you go with the predatory mites? Would you recommend? I am considering going down that route to manage my thrips infestation so I'm really curious!
Hi!! I would definitely recommend predatory mites. Swirskii mites have been so great for me as both a preventative and treatment for thrips larvae. :)
The only thing that worked for mealie bugs on my plants was a systemic! I use bonide system and boom after watering in it I would say a week to ten days they were gone! My plant room is closed off from animals, kids, anyone or anything I’m sure you know about system so I’ll save all the info lol just figured I would tell you this bc they kept coming back no matter how much alcohol and soap spray I put on my plants mealies are so hard to get rid of that’s why I was too happy that the systemic worked!!
Ahh Bonide was my jam when I lived in the states still! But it’s banned here in Canada 😔
@@unplantparenthood aww man that sucks 🤯 I’m sorry I had no idea it was banned dang is there any kind of systemic there that can help you get rid of all that well I think it should be ok now that the beneficial insects are there everything should run smoothly I alternate from using bugs and using systemic since you have to switch it up so they don’t build up a tolerance I do half a year with one and half a year with the other and it seems to work pretty good! I know you got this😜 it will be better in a few days once those bugs get going they will be on a roll cleaning them plants up 💯💖

Honestly my favourite are the Barrina and Monios lights. Barrina is 10W and Monios is 24W :)

I had mealy bugs on a $5 string of dolphins I got from Lowe’s and they would NOT go away! I finally got tired of it and just stuck it outside in the winter cold and let it die.
Also the aerial roots on that epipremnum feel like they’re under my skin by looking at them. I would like to throw up😃
I totally would’ve done the same. YEET!! Mealies, meet Winter. Winter meet mealies. Also those aerial roots literally gave my goosebumps goosebumps and I don’t think it ever went away 🤢🤮

I first encountered these demons when i bought a HUGE mature crassula tree...it was marked down and I didnt even question it. Well it had mealy bug investation after another because they were sooo hard to all get out of that huge plant😭 it lost all leaves and to this day i DESPISE these fuckers

No I don’t import every month- probably about 3x a year at most. This last import was from a local plant business here that I’m helping out!

Unfortunately no- I’ve had my fair share of pests over the last 10 years 🙈 but this is my first run in with mealybugs and I was absolutely terrified of them 😬

Unfortunately almost every import order I’ve received from different sellers and countries over the last 2-3 years have had some kind of pest. It’s been bad! One time I even found a fat live grub in one of the chonks 🤢
