we were in the 3rd wk of October on a 1 week trip to Paris. You must have been there around the same time. Stayed in the Indian region close Gare du Nord station. Was totally shocked by the number of Indian related shops and restaurants. We ate in some of the veg restaurants there and were very disappointed with the food. saravana bhavan was the only one that was reasonable and could have been better. Right when we were there, there was a lot of Palestinian protests all over the city, and saw Police convoys every where. Sorry your trip to verasilles Palace got disrupted. We loved the visit and covered most of it and some places in the day and night both. Watching your Swiss series to plan an upcoming 3 wk trip in 3rd wk of August. I may have some questions in the coming days. Your videos are good and to the point

There is Indian street in Paris because in 1674 the Governor of “La Compagnie française des Indes orientales” (French East India Company) François Martin, set up a trading centre in Pondicherry and this outpost eventually became the chief French settlement in India. French is still spoken in Pondicherry.
