Wouldn't be listing anything until my account was approved. If they keep knocking you back or decide you are too much hassle and perma ban you then all those sales are lost. I think I will leave it until early next year to see if I even bother with Vinted Pro as they don't seem to have a clue how to run the UK operation.
It is absolutely shocking. The lack of ugency was beyond acceptable. Especially when they just got a massive fine in Lithuania for violating GDPR. Then they ask for more of your personal information 😂😂.
I signed up and after two listings I was permanently banned. I appealed and had to send a photo of the pair of shoes with a piece of paper next to them saying my username, my email address and the date. I was then reinstated. I listed a few more things and one was removed for copyright violation as the photo appeared on another website...yes, my ebay shop. I appealed this and received a scripted reply; there was no option to ask any further questions. Diabolical so far.
Why on earth did ppl put in an NI number when it asked for your UTR number? GDPR issue there, but also, ppl have to take on some responsibility for using their NI instead when that's not what it asked for
They did it because putting their UTR number didn’t work! Someone discovered that it accepted N I numbers so the word went round that that was what they actually meant.
@@liamsellsretro It amended the request for sole traders to NINO. I used it, then found yes, my details were public and just closed the account. Not a happy bunny
I'm sure they are holding your money this long so they make their money from the interest of the pot of everyone s money together. They need to make money somehow. Maybe that is also why eBay is going back to this. I obviously don't know if this is why, but it's what I personally think and what makes sense for them to be able to trade with profit still.
If you dont see your money for 2-4 weeks it means Vinted are investing your money and getting interests and than they pay you! No wonder Vinted is free! Ebay will start doing the same! 🙂
Looks like they rushed out a badly flawed Pro platform to combat eBays launch of free selling & even with the good will from excited sellers they dropped the ball. Vinted appear to be a good platform run by cowboys. I do not know what the future holds but a good idea badly executed just opens the door to someone else copying the idea but doing it well. I guess that's what eBay are planning in the new year, taking the best of Vinted but doing it with out the amateur support.
Yikes!! What a mess 🙈 I’m selling on eBay, Etsy and WhatNot as well as in retail shops so not sure I can handle an extra one just yet, but looks potentially 🤑🤑 looking forward to seeing how it pans out!
Thanks George for the update I was waiting for this video to see how you got on because l was going to sign up to pro but being a senior citizen experience tells me to wait till after the rush and let the bugs be ironed out first, and l look forward to your next video. Hope you get your money through soon but Vinted pay out has always been slow and a bit outdated.
How were you able to sign up when you’d been banned? As I’ve been banned on a personal account and they’ve blocked my device so I’m not sure I’ll be able to sign up for vinted pro?
Did you ever manage to get the business verification process sorted mate, currently in same position with over £2000 in pending balance and loads of orders sent out with nothing to show for it!
I have had my account in Holiday mode waiting to clear it as per the instructions and are you saying that it isn't accepting new registrations anyway at the moment? Of so, I will stick it back on for now!
Even if people hadn't used their NI number and vinted took the UTR then vinted would have shared their UTR publicly right ? Pretty sure that is a HUGE security risk too. And if somebody buys from you do they get your address too ? Hard to think of a way to get it more wrong.
Hasn't anybody thought that maybe the people buying off of Vinted are exactly the same people that buy off of ebay? Why would the selling platform be any different when you're selling the same items across all platforms ? I don't understand it at all .
Vinted have fucked up but why on earth would you continue to sell on that particular platform when your payments won't go through until they have actually accepted your documentation? As of yet, sellers haven't sold anything if they haven't been paid, they've given that stuff away ! Ebay will prevail & are probably pissing themselves laughing right now.. They'll wait until vinted get it all sorted out & then buy them out
People rushing blindly into vinted Pro (encouraged by over excited youtubers) some less clued up people adding private information. The grass is not always greener. You pay fees for a reason and customer service is one of them.

Not sure it's a breach at all. You entered your NI number when it wasn't even requested! Looks like you should have entered your company number (which you don't have) which is freely available information
Vinted Rookie. It’s hilarious. Desperate and childishly rushing to sign up as a business to Vinted Pro and look where it’s got you. Paying for extra fraud protection. Do be have professional businesses are not interested in such failure.
It’s hardly desperate or childish to sign up to use competition where you can make more money! As an outsider looking in and being drawn to this comment, I’d say your comment reads as something bordering on childish and perhaps there’s a smattering of jealousy there too. Don’t get me wrong I’m no expert but I’ve lived long enough to spot the signs, the dead giveaway signs is relishing in other peoples trials and tribulations
How to protect yourself if you’re worried about the National Insuance Number leak (NOT an ad): www.cifas.org.uk/pr
Massive data breach! Under GDPR it could cost them millions PER breach! The fact they left it up for FIVE days is insane!!
Let hope Vinted have insurance to cover the fines for the data breaches. They only just made a profit (£17m) they could go bust in theory…
Oh my ….. what a mess!!!! EBay bigwigs enjoying a glass of champagne tonight!
🤣

Vinted have already had a fine in Europe for €2million for data breaches. They didn’t learn 🤦♀️
Who wants to sign up for a platform that leaks your data. Identity theft alone is costly to remedy let alone credit card detail theft.
They’ve fumbled the bag, massively!

in Nothern Ireland you can't buy an item off vinted if they only have Evri selected... Vinted needs to change that!!

About the standards to be expected today. The same everywhere. Everywhere the same.
I disagree, not all platforms have massive data breaches and huge fines from governments
