They’re much better with a polyurethane insole swap. The 4s are more old school feel & the shoe responsible for ushering in the age of low top basketball shoes. I do wish Nike protro’d them properly with a cushlon or react midsole. Aesthetically the 4s are king tho & the Sneaker Kobe played his best in while winning a ring.
Tech and upper wise these are behind the 5,6,8, and whatever else you wanna put after but man on feet they just feel so good. Don’t even know what it is but it’s just soft all around. Don’t really think this is one of the shoes compatible to throw full length zoom in because it would throw the whole feeling off from the og BUT I would’ve appreciated the heel unit on top of a forefoot rectangle zoom unit even if it’s bottom loaded. The foam being lighter and softer and the outsole being thicker and grooves deeper doesn’t justify that price or even a protro name in all honesty but they’re still one of those old models that hold up on court extremely well

The Grinch and Reverse? Grinches had lots of stock. They did multiple restocks/shock drops of them. I won on April 13, 2021 on a shock drop. Reverse has CRAZY amount of stock. I got Exclusive Access and got my double up from Shoe Palace. So the probability is significantly higher for those two pairs.

4's are tier below when comparing to 5s 6s and 8s. Still very good performance wise. Look wise these are top tier

Really good looking shoe. Outside of the Kobe 8 mambacita these are the best looking proto until Fall
