The dolls are dolling. But omg, I didn't realize how thinly rooted she was! I never planned to take her hair down any way (until I get a double, and I know I will be), but wow. I have my Lila dressed exactly like that too, to make it look like she's wearing a more fashion forward qipao.
I think that’s the best approach for many collectors/buyers. I’m not sure how easy or difficult it is to give her back the same hairstyle she came with. For some reason, I’m INFATUATED with these Asian flat shoesss 😩 Just spectacular

I do like the song! It’s a nice royalty free song, which is honestly a little hard to find. I think she came out so well! I wish the little stacked buns would have worked because they almost resembled oni (Japanese demon) horns to me. The one style I’m waiting for on Lila is a more traditional Chinese look with the loops of hair. I’ve been reading some historical manhua (Chinese manga) and the hair styles are always my favorite part. I wonder if that would be hard to accomplish with how thinly rooted she is vs sleek straight hair being the most popular in those hairstyles. I think if I ever pick up a Lily Cheng I would try it on her! No one: Me: the stacked buns look like horns!

Thank you Courtney! Of course just like real hair, there is risk of breaking fibers when you tease, however, you don’t have to be so precarious when it comes to doll hair because often times you can just use heat or heated tools to revert the hair back. It should work just fine!

So I am new to doll collecting and I've felt kind of pressured to keep eveyrhing as/is for collecting sake but I really wanted dolls to dress how I want and do their hair differently and yours are so gorgeous that I no longer feel like I have to have a boring collection for it to be legit 😭 God she looks so much better lol

I have mixed feelings about Lila. On one hand, I love her theme colour (Lilac 🥰💓) and I love her vibe in the animated series. I also love the little stickers she has on her face. I love her head mould, her face, and her hair (especially when it was down and dry). My issue is her clothes. Like the RUclipsr Darling Dollz mentioned, the modernised and cultural looks clash. They don't flow the same way an outfit like Meena's second look did. I also find it, dare I say, confusing. I'm not East Asian or fully informed so I cannot speak on their behalf and call MGA out on appropriation. However, I do agree with Darling Dollz once again on the notion that she would have looked better with something more jpop-esque. Idk. She just had so much potential. I really wish I could like her.
Thank you! I don’t think you should worry! There’s a large selection of dolls with thick rooted hair. It’s just with the nature of the hair, some factory-made hairstyles require space on the scalp to make it possible. This particular doll is an extreme case and even she was able to be styled beyond her factory style.

I TOTALLY AGREE, @RodneyRainbow … MGA PLEASE STOP RELEASING THESE LINES SO FREQUENTLY!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I too have literally purchased EVERY SINGLE Rainbow High (& OMG) Doll released to date, & can’t keep doing it! NOT ONLY is it getting way too expensive, but they’re released SO close together that it doesn’t give collectors time to truly appreciate & bond w/each doll! More importantly, they want ppl to collect them all, but not everyone has unlimited space for displaying them! I mean, I already have 2 completely FULL bookcases of JUST RH, but I’ve also filled the Dorm House AND even a custom bookcase UNDER the Dorm House!! 🤦🏼♀️ (to raise the house up better at eye-level 👍😊) If I didn’t have OCD it may not bother me as much to skip out on many of them, but I’m a completist & genuinely love them all! 😩 Also, forgot to add in earlier reply how REFRESHING it is to see a Doll RUclips Creator who’s so incredibly HUMBLE! ♥️🙏🏻♥️ Your so special Rodney bc you’re genuine, & so so talented! Thank youu! I do not use hairspray. In my personal experience, the conditioner works just fine. It does not leave the hair hard or weird feeling. The longer you keep the straws in, the longer the curls will last. The curls do drop a tiny bit, but they don’t completely fall out.
I think because they don’t really expect people that buy their dolls to change the hair style so they only root the hair in the places where they need them to be
Uggg yeah I was bummed when I saw her hair. I was also upset that jett dawson was bald too she was a lot of money for not even having a part line. I get the hairstyle is easier for them and like jett for example her style was really cool I agree it doesn't have to be super thick its easier to do some styles with thinner hair. I do think they all need a basic part line so you can at least wear the hair down. You did awesome considering she was bald. I mean maybe I shouldn't complain I'm capable of rerooting and adding these things just more money or I need to take hair from the back and it will be shorter or buy more hair. Again my thoughts they should at least do a part line for the price point a lot of these are at now. Especially ones like jett where they say she is a collector. I get with the ones with up does not having super thick rooting but it feels like a rip off. Thanks 😊
@@rodneyrainbow no lily isn't bald she has a part and really thick hair. She does have tinsel but it's really nice and it's not a ton. Her hair is pin straight and I love it. Very soft. She is one of my favorites. She was spendy but totally worth it. Wish I had grabbed a numbered one. Yeah jett is bald a few you tubers have done tutorials on how to give her a part line and fill in the gaps. I'm going to try that the hair suggest was a rainbow set from doll zone I believe so if you do get her she can be fixed if you can reroot. I mean she is really pretty and I just left her how she came so it's limiting if you like to do their hair. Which I know I do but I have lots of others that can be played with. She is worth it too me for her outfits and she is really cool her hair colors and the style is cute just they either couldn't do a full head and part cause it be too bulky for that style or they just figured not many would even take her hair down. I still would get her I've seen her for as cheap as 25 lately so I may even get a second in case I really mess up the reroot 🤣
10:43- OH MUH GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD! Yas this is exactly what I’m experiencing with my Naomi doll! Ugh, it’s so freaking annoying. 😰. I love the twins so much and find my self interacting with them a lot, and they were a gift from my beau haha, so Naomi constantly falling every time I touch her is blowing me😤. I’ve surmised it was because of the square hold on the base. Perhaps it’s too shallow and doesn’t allow a deep anchoring of the stick/pole of the stand. I hope they fix it
If you watch my Storm Twins video, IT HAPPENED AGAIN!! Lol I found out today what the problem is. It’s not the base of the stand, it’s the stick that holds them up! I replaced my Veronica stand with Sherryl’s and it’s so sturdy. Idk why the SH stands suck so much.

Thank you Courtney! Of course just like real hair, there is risk of breaking fibers when you tease, however, you don’t have to be so precarious when it comes to doll hair because often times you can just use heat or heated tools to revert the hair back. It should work just fine!
She’s thinly rooted probably because the style was supposed to stay that way. But if she was styled like this i would have bought a lot of this doll!!! 💜💜💜
She looks beautiful and I agree about slowing down between series. I can't complete any of them because I collect other things, so I just get my favs from each wave. I haven't even bought any of these yet. 😆

So I am new to doll collecting and I've felt kind of pressured to keep eveyrhing as/is for collecting sake but I really wanted dolls to dress how I want and do their hair differently and yours are so gorgeous that I no longer feel like I have to have a boring collection for it to be legit 😭 God she looks so much better lol

I have mixed feelings about Lila. On one hand, I love her theme colour (Lilac 🥰💓) and I love her vibe in the animated series. I also love the little stickers she has on her face. I love her head mould, her face, and her hair (especially when it was down and dry). My issue is her clothes. Like the RUclipsr Darling Dollz mentioned, the modernised and cultural looks clash. They don't flow the same way an outfit like Meena's second look did. I also find it, dare I say, confusing. I'm not East Asian or fully informed so I cannot speak on their behalf and call MGA out on appropriation. However, I do agree with Darling Dollz once again on the notion that she would have looked better with something more jpop-esque.
Idk. She just had so much potential. I really wish I could like her.

Thank you! I don’t think you should worry! There’s a large selection of dolls with thick rooted hair. It’s just with the nature of the hair, some factory-made hairstyles require space on the scalp to make it possible. This particular doll is an extreme case and even she was able to be styled beyond her factory style.

I TOTALLY AGREE, @RodneyRainbow … MGA PLEASE STOP RELEASING THESE LINES SO FREQUENTLY!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I too have literally purchased EVERY SINGLE Rainbow High (& OMG) Doll released to date, & can’t keep doing it!
NOT ONLY is it getting way too expensive, but they’re released SO close together that it doesn’t give collectors time to truly appreciate & bond w/each doll! More importantly, they want ppl to collect them all, but not everyone has unlimited space for displaying them! I mean, I already have 2 completely FULL bookcases of JUST RH, but I’ve also filled the Dorm House AND even a custom bookcase UNDER the Dorm House!! 🤦🏼♀️ (to raise the house up better at eye-level 👍😊)
If I didn’t have OCD it may not bother me as much to skip out on many of them, but I’m a completist & genuinely love them all! 😩

Thank youu! I do not use hairspray. In my personal experience, the conditioner works just fine. It does not leave the hair hard or weird feeling. The longer you keep the straws in, the longer the curls will last. The curls do drop a tiny bit, but they don’t completely fall out.

Uggg yeah I was bummed when I saw her hair. I was also upset that jett dawson was bald too she was a lot of money for not even having a part line. I get the hairstyle is easier for them and like jett for example her style was really cool I agree it doesn't have to be super thick its easier to do some styles with thinner hair. I do think they all need a basic part line so you can at least wear the hair down. You did awesome considering she was bald. I mean maybe I shouldn't complain I'm capable of rerooting and adding these things just more money or I need to take hair from the back and it will be shorter or buy more hair. Again my thoughts they should at least do a part line for the price point a lot of these are at now. Especially ones like jett where they say she is a collector. I get with the ones with up does not having super thick rooting but it feels like a rip off. Thanks 😊

@@rodneyrainbow no lily isn't bald she has a part and really thick hair. She does have tinsel but it's really nice and it's not a ton. Her hair is pin straight and I love it. Very soft. She is one of my favorites. She was spendy but totally worth it. Wish I had grabbed a numbered one. Yeah jett is bald a few you tubers have done tutorials on how to give her a part line and fill in the gaps. I'm going to try that the hair suggest was a rainbow set from doll zone I believe so if you do get her she can be fixed if you can reroot. I mean she is really pretty and I just left her how she came so it's limiting if you like to do their hair. Which I know I do but I have lots of others that can be played with. She is worth it too me for her outfits and she is really cool her hair colors and the style is cute just they either couldn't do a full head and part cause it be too bulky for that style or they just figured not many would even take her hair down. I still would get her I've seen her for as cheap as 25 lately so I may even get a second in case I really mess up the reroot 🤣

10:43- OH MUH GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD! Yas this is exactly what I’m experiencing with my Naomi doll! Ugh, it’s so freaking annoying. 😰. I love the twins so much and find my self interacting with them a lot, and they were a gift from my beau haha, so Naomi constantly falling every time I touch her is blowing me😤. I’ve surmised it was because of the square hold on the base. Perhaps it’s too shallow and doesn’t allow a deep anchoring of the stick/pole of the stand. I hope they fix it
If you watch my Storm Twins video, IT HAPPENED AGAIN!! Lol I found out today what the problem is. It’s not the base of the stand, it’s the stick that holds them up! I replaced my Veronica stand with Sherryl’s and it’s so sturdy. Idk why the SH stands suck so much.
My Pinkette stand is horrible she is having such a hard time just standing 😭
So the costume ball doll stands seem to be an improvement so far 👍
