Great explanation of a complex topic! You've educated me on both indexed annuities (with income riders) and also deferred income annuities. It's interesting that the chicken dinner seminars only talk about the former. Thank you for giving me all the info I need so I could make the best choice for my situation. For me, that is laddered DIAs. See you when I'm ready to add another rung, and I can live without the chicken.
Great video Stan! I have an annuity with Athene and have online access as with most annuity owners. You mentioned a payment that has an "inflation adjusted" payment and a "level" payment option, are you saying the inflation adjusted payment is just plain old fraud? Why would they offer that option? On another note, I've read your book on income riders and have a much better understanding of the income rider. I will be reading the rest of the series soon.
Steve, the inflation adjusted payment isn't a fraud necessarily. It is just that the payment starts so much lower when the increasing option is chosen that many times it isn't worth having it. Generally, if an increasing option is chosen the initial income is 30% less than the level income option. I'm glad you found the Income Rider book helpful. Thank you for watching!
Yes and I’m in that beautiful state of North Carolina 😎. Thanks again Stan.

Thanks Richard! We look forward to working with you again.

@@StanTheAnnuityMan Thanks for that information Stan. I'll be choosing the level income option when I pull the trigger!
