Witney is all about stage presence, Lindsay is better technically trained, she's competed and won more competitions so she has an edge in experience. Both are great dancers, its just that with Lindsay's accolades it made more sense to make her the pro.

i'm late. hella late actually. but some were on SYTYCD, such as: jenna, witney, lindsay, allison, alan, britany and haley. usually when you do really well on SYTYCD, you have a shot at being on the troupe/pros on DWTS; because the two shows are somewhat connected. maks and tony were on the show from the very beginning i believe and they had to go through an audition process. as well as cheryl i believe. i know derek and mark had to audition as well.i think because julianne was related to derek and val related to maks, they knew what they were getting into. but they still had to audition. i'm not sure about sharna, peta or chery, emma or sasha, henry and artem, but i'm sure they auditioned as well. the newer people like brandon, brittney and morgan, i think they had connections and got in. i believe once you've established yourself in the dance world and people know who you are because you're always on the top, DWTS either reached out to you or you audition such as: keo, kym, karina, and more.
I hate to say it but they should've kept Julian instead of Gleb because for some reason he just kinda outshined Gleb and look like he would've been better at choreography than Gleb.
Witney is the best!! She has more fire! Lindsay is good too, but for some reason I just don't feel the same way, and something about her legs bothers me...its like they are too "lanky" or something.
