@averagementatsenjoyer8558 I think it should at least fit a niche or something and be good in some way against new creatures they add like for example basically a mudraptor on crack with very high damage res, poisons offer a much easier way of killing than say a gun
They should remove the knockback explosion from acid grenades, and make the cloud much bigger. Maybe even fill up entire rooms. Then they should add some kind of anti acid suit or mask for the user. As it is, this playstyle is very expensive per point of damage and there really isnt any point in using it even with europabrew (which isnt cheap to make)
By the time you applied europabrew and tried switching weapons, the enemy would already on your face before you could apply a slow-damaging component. By what I learnt from the video, even a panicked shotgun-fire is better given you need ideal conditions for the acid to be effective, and luck is in low-stock inside those waters
Although the acid items are niche situational items, i have personally found them useful for area denial or poisoning crew members without quick antidotes at hand. Great video as always.
Neat but ultimately it seems like acid takes talent points and europabrew stacks just to do what regular weapons already do. Hopefully they can make acid more unique and useful like playing up the smoke as a more fatal but unspreading fire
They definitely need to get rid of that explosion from the grenades. I could see these being very useful for room clearing. I am glad to see the devs making these more odd, but useful classes; makes it more interesting
The only real usage of acid grenades i found is that with neurotrauma they dont do much dmg to a crew, while actualy have that small stun effect, so u can safely throw them into alien breakthroug to win some time without worrying that u hurt someone from ur team.
I agree with most of a comment section, that it would be cool to be a large area denial room. Like, covering whole room and maybe leaving acid on floor and walls, that's unsafe to walk on without an exosuit.. For those outpost clearing missions. Or maybe to have stun-like effect, with nervous system in lockdown or permanent shutoff like some of the drugs, just with room-wide effect
Acid grenade is the best way to neutralise a Swarm Feeder In addition, plague doctor would gain an additional 50% acid burn resistance. That's the safest way to kill incredibly small critter.
Seems like the rework to make the medic more combat oriented is pretty shitty. If someone invest a limited resource (requiring time or being limited) it should give it a better result than regular damage. As it is, it's weaker than just using a gun of any kind or a normal granade.
I always felt acid nades are more for defence then offence. To be used inside your ship to kill many monsters that get inside a room, just beyond a door.
The worst part about plague doctor is that it's competing with one of the best "oh fuck" drugs you could put in an auto injector. Should have just given it all in one talent, and made buff length and or acid damage their own choices instead.
What is the point? I don’t find it useful for creatures, it seems like a hassle to have to inject europabrew and then switch to another weapon to finish them off with acid. While with another firearm, you can just shoot and kill, you don’t have to wait or swap. For acid grenades, do they affect ballast flora? I usually only use grenades for ballast flora, it may be good since they don’t cause hull damage. I’m not sure if they’re immune or not though, since they spit acid at you too.
Hrm. Acid weapons seem to be most effective against human players and for combat inside the ship because there will be no leaks or holes in the hull. Did you test how much damage that chemtrail can do to a bigger monster by chance? If it swims through a big portion of it?
ah yes, the "let me inject them with 5 syringes before we shoot" playstyle. I can take a riot shotgun and kill both the useless plague medic AND his target in the same timeframe it takes the medic to kill a low tier mudraptor.
To be fair, this build sucks BUT the 40mm acid grenade can actually be devastating to groups of enemies because of the trail it leaves. It can cover up many corridors and probably tap out swarms of enemies if used correctly
Thinking about it now, how effective is a railgun with acid grenade in a sub v sub fight? Hitting the gunnery compartment is instant denial, and getting any shot into pilot room is disabling the sub. A fire can be stopped with water, but the acid will stay even with breaches.
I want to try this, but it does not fit the game play mechanics. You really have to kill fast, and move fast in this game, who the hell has time to fill a room with clouds, and how the hell can you convince your teammates not to bum rush the room you just filled with maximum death clouds?
@@InitialDesu Ah damn, that’s a shame. Let me know when it’s it’s listed because that looks very intriguing and me and the boys are about to start a new campaign today.
Seems like acid weapons would be better as an expensive area denial weapon rather than whatever they're trying to do with them currently
Yeah, and if the chemist path was more usefull due to an update that added more chemical weapons or other stuff more people would actually use it

It will be cool if acid cloud lasts longer
100% agree

Exactly, it should fill rooms and do slightly more dmg per second
Although the acid items are niche situational items, i have personally found them useful for area denial or poisoning crew members without quick antidotes at hand.

They are also hella cheap midgame.

Really like how your editing matches the style of the video as well as the content.
ah yes, darkest trauma, my favorite game
Glad to see a new video! Absolutely love your channel. Acid seems a bit underwhelming, but it is a really neat concept.
Awesome Video! I would love to see more like it for the other occupations.
唯一的問題就是硫酸不好取得,打爬行者之母的時候,要小心他們的群體衝鋒 的同時還要閃避那些大便酸球
然後大戰後還需要去外面一個一個收集,不小心撞上還會受傷

Combat stim is too good to pass for me, it can save u in a pinch and with neurotrauma it can save people if they have it in autoinjectors
Too expensive to make imo

The acid really good at holding choke point or suppress enemies.

PLEASE, do more of these!
if they brang back the old syringe gun where you could mix and match syringes, Europa brew and sulphuric acid would be about as useful as breathing
Bit expensive, but surely using two syringe guns would give the same effect?

Ty for the video

Should have just given it all in one talent, and made buff length and or acid damage their own choices instead.
The two talents that buff acid and poisons got upgraded to 25% each with 1.0 I think
What a stench is +40%, macrodosing is +25%, so that's +65% (or maybe not, depends on the exact math they use). I think a re-test is in order.
ACID GREANDES!
Man still hearts vids after months of the it being out, real legend. I'll pass by and say I binged watched every single vid on your channel btw ❤️
Huh, I thought loaded shells would make a lot more of a difference but apparently not so much.

Yes, currently ballast flora completely immune to acid weapons
Crowd control in pvp at BEST,but you might need a friend or 2 for that
otherwise that security dude will still charge at you
Thanks for the info. Shame this play style doesn't having any shining situations that outclass acute lead poisoning.
Hrm. Acid weapons seem to be most effective against human players and for combat inside the ship because there will be no leaks or holes in the hull. Did you test how much damage that chemtrail can do to a bigger monster by chance? If it swims through a big portion of it?
This depends on how much time they will contact with acid, for moloch its around 1/100 of its HP per one smoke trail. For hammerhead its like 1/20
ah yes, the "let me inject them with 5 syringes before we shoot" playstyle.

don't acid also deal huge damage to hull? I remember how easy alien ruins become once I dissolve wals with acid
In current version acid weapons do zero damage to sub walls and ruin walls
I Am The Cure.

I assure you Doctor, my cure is Most effective.
Have we ever try dealing with Ballast Flora with this before? I’m curious.
Or it’s immune to acid burn? I remember Ballast Flora itself also can.
Yes, ballast flora immune to acid weapons

1:21 a small nitpick on a good video is that "up to 15" just means all talents except for your own class
Can you make explosive comparison? Like Compound N, C-4, etc
In railgun, or just in detonator?
@@InitialDesu Detonator. But, i think if you include Railgun that even better. I wanna see how many explosive to kill Ballast Flora.
Acid should just be an ammo for a watergun, like a flamethrower
Mechanics, don't have the talent "Unstoppable Curiosity", they got the Miner perk instead.

Yes, you can ask devs about it
I suspected that acid weapons are useless, but not to this degree. Did the devs try them even once?

unreliable weapon. thanks for video
well, at least it’s hull friendly, no fire to extinguish, and dual throwing exist,
What is the ship shown when throwing the grenade down into the pit from the med bay?
The ship that shown when throwing the grenade down into the pit from medbay is my submarine Malachite. Not in workshop but work in progress.
