8:41 This symbiote design to me feels like it’s in the middle of the black suit and symbiote suit, as the game calls them. It looks clean and smooth like the first stage black suit, with pretty normal eyes. But the spider is more ragged and the suit has less of an armour look, trading it for a sort of ‘skin’ look.
They should have let the people at coney Island die. Because that would have made it a bit darker and Peter will think that he could have saved them if he had the blacksuit.
I was actually thinking they would do that like. Venom is missing for alot of the final section of the game. So much could’ve happened. And I hope we see events from Venom POV in his game.
I would have liked to see a mission where with Peter and Miles you escape from Venom. They wouldn't have faced him directly because they didn't have the strength to stop him without Peter having the anti venom and when they were after Venom you would launch an electric attack with Miles or a sonic grenade with Peter
I liked the mysterio suit but from what i hear some concept ideas would have made the game so much better but were cut to make space for miles and mj. I think that with what i know now I would just cut out Miles part of the game. Have him like a robin slike in arkham.Focus mainly on Peter and his story and that the battle at the end be way more personal as well as Peters symbiote arc being longer and more damaging to his relationship with Harry. Something poetically tragic that would result in an Anti venom Peter being super damaged and a venom being almost half torn. Have Miles get his new upgrade in a standalone game with DLC and have both anti venom Peter and Upgraded Miles going strong to battle with ock and goblin on third. Having Venom attack you randomly throughout the city like taskmaster did would have been awesome. And of course more symbiote related things with both suits to see the difference.
At the end i think the game was super rushed and that some amazing parts were cut to make it work for MJ and Miles. That Insomniac had great ambition but what could have resulted in game of the year got reduced to a Definitive second game. Ive played the game 4 times and have enjoyed it alot but every time I ser Miles mission i kinda what to skip because Peters symbiote story is just so amazing and much more interesting than Miles much more grounded revenge storyline. Insomniac is juggling a lot with the possible DLC, Venom possible standalone game, and wolverine. I hope they take inspiration from Peters balance theme because insomniac would always have great things but they can be so much more amazing when they just take their time and focus on one super game at the time.
Note my fellow webslinger if Carnage comes and pls let him be playable in one section of DLC like in the main game venom, he needs to be more Lanky as Carnage has more popular designs being skinnier
I wish Kraven became venom in an kravens last hunt type story. Harry dying and sending Peter over the edge makes more sense. And Norman Osborn blaming Spider-Man for his death is more compelling. A kravens venom is dangerous! Harry seemed to be a nice kid and just dosnt fit as venom.

This video just made me realize how rushed Spiderman 2 was. So many amazing concepts and story/gameplay ideas that never saw the light of day. This game is good but it doesn't carry even close to the same emotional weight as the first game.
One of the issues i had with in particular the story was that it felt a bit too safe and Yuri said that Spider Man was going to have trouble with addiction with the Symbiote and that he would have trouble with his friends. While we did get that, I don’t think it was explored deeply enough and it felt rushed like, i don’t know how else to explain it other than that.
A mechanic where a rare Enemy type would appear with random encounters around the city would be so cool and would make them more of a challenge and mysterey

Another ploy to try and hurt peter in some way. Imagine a back in black moment against the Green Goblin? That'd be nice. If felicia gifts peter a cloth suit that is black and white within the story. We'll see how far they'll go, i guess.

They just said to themselves “well we can’t think of a good way to get Peter to defeat venom so let’s just give him a convenient power suit and we’ll just make it a weakness for all symbiotes and it’s a symbiote that has no flaws and only good.” Like that’s just dumb. In spider-man 3, we saw Peter using his own experience while he had the symbiote on earlier to defeat venom, like how he struggled with sound on the bell. But no, PlayStation needed a competition for the Game of The Year award and it had to be rushed in order to come out this year. This game should have really come out in late 2024.

There's literally 0 correlation between the first part of your opinion with the second. But regarding the first part, they did what they also did in the first game with the Anti-Ock Suit. It's nothing we haven't seen before and it doesn't contradict anything that has been established so far in this universe.

Anti venom is the strongest version of the symbiotes, so it makes sense that it would be a weakness to venom.
