Building Our Balboa Foundation Course: Mixing Footwork Patterns w/ the Various Modes of the Dance

Join us as we dive deep into Balboa! In this chat, we explain how we were able to break out of our previous belief that an up-hold and down-hold footwork pattern happens primarily in one particular body movement (up-hold being an orbital pathway and down-hold being a linear pathway).
Check out how we implement the up-hold and down-hold rhythm into our three modes:
1. Linear Track: Forward and Back traveling with upper body twists
2. Sideways Track: Side-to-side w/ lilting of the hips
3. Orbital Track: Combination of the two above.

This video has rekindled my desire to continue with our Balboa lessons. Dax, my wife and I joined in with your 'pre dance' mini lesson at the Collingwood (I think) Town Hall Vic. Aust. (mid 2000's). The dance was put on by Clauda of Swing Patrol Melbourne Australia. Loved the little progressive routine, just wish I could remember it. Thank you Dax and Sarah.

What kind of shoes is she wearing? (Meaning...are they ballroom, character shoes, etc) What kind of sole does it have? Suede, leather? Ive been looking for some closed toe/heeled shoes for wood floors.
