Some question: Diverse characters Intimidating read Newest hauled Graphic novel One word title Over 5 word title Friend recommendation Controversial opinion (so mixed opinions)
This is so fun!! Question ideas: Pick a book that matches something you’re wearing. Close your eyes and point to a book. Read the book three books to the left of it. Read an audiobook. Use a random number generator and read that book off of your goodreads TBR. Make a poll for the video and let the audience pick. Text a friend and let them pick. Pick a prompt from Becca’s bookopoly or Codie’s wheel of TBR (from the previous month) and follow it. Read the last book in a series
Sounds like an interesting TBR setup ... I hope you'll enjoy your reads. Question Options:: - Read a novel from the year you were // born // graduated // etc - Read a novel that contains dragons (dragon shifters are okay). - Based in a country that I don't live in
I adore these TBR games/random selection methods; this trivial pursuit idea is really great! Before I suggest questions, I think my first couple of recommendations would be 1) own your greatness, it is a beautiful idea/board and 2) maybe find some music for while you're rolling/moving your piece? Just fills some empty air time but I loved this pilot episode regardless - will be subscribing to see more : ) Questions! 1. Pick an overhyped book of this genre 2. Lowest rated on Goodreads 3. Highest rated on Goodreads 4. A book that matches the top you are wearing 5. Someone else picks the book (Partner/Parent/Friend/Viewers/etc.) 6. Pet picks your book 7. Iconic book tuber of this genre picks your book (just look up their most recent TBR videos and pick a book they are going to read that you own/already were planning on getting; RileyMarieReads - romance, Booksandlala - mystery/thriller, chelseadollingreads - contemporary, etc.) 8. Social media picks my book (this would work for other - search book on Instagram/whatever and the first books that shows up that you own and haven't read is your book) 9. Random number generator (this would work best if your books are organized by genre but, if not, then it's another good other category) 10. Most controversial (open to interpretation) Hope this helps! Have fun!
Mini TheMoocher aw thank you so much! I should definitely get some “elevator music” for the rolling portion haha! Thank you for all your suggestions too!🤘🏼🖤
Love this! Ideas: 500+ pages, favorite author, debut author, Polar fantasy (since you love it so much), TBR veteran, viewer pick (choose 3-ish books and do a poll), next in a series, outside your comfort zone, 2nd chance, seasonal read (so like if you drew this in October you’d read a spooky read, December would be a Christmas read, February could be a romance, etc), book featuring _____(dragon, assassin, etc.), new to you author...
Eeeeeeee, so excited for this new series! I geuinely can't get enough of these board game TBRs, bless Becca for starting this trend! This was AWESOME, and I wish I had questions to suggest. :-D
I love this! It's so fun. Suggestions for questions: what book is by an author you've read before or alternatively what book is by an author you've never read before? What book did you somehow miss when it first came out? What book features characters who are siblings? Those would work for all genres. Then for science fiction you might have these already but what book is set in space, what book is set in a post-apocalyptic world, what book is set in the future?
And another one: Do you have a book of that genre that has the colour of the category on its cover? So a book with pink on if you're on a pink space, etc.
Some question prompts: What book has a person on the cover? What books starts with "The"? What book would your friend pick? A book with multiple points of view. A book by a new to you author.
Okay, hear me out... I haven't fully formed this idea yet so maybe take the idea and run with it. What about a "Time Travel" prompt, whether that's going back and completing a prompt from a readathon that you didn't finish, or reading a childhood favorite, or reading a book you think you would've loved as a teenager, or a book that was released in a certain decade... Something like that, whatever suits your fancy!
Here I am again. I love this game! Also, I don't do the number generator thing anymore because I keep changing my mind about what to read next. I am saving all the videos for this game in a playlist to be made public once I get to the last video on your channel. I hope I remember to do this. LOL Next video = 310!!
This was such a super cool idea! I cant even imagine how much time and effort this would have taken! I still need to read the language of thorns! I hope you enjoy! :)
14:00 yaaaas excited for your thoughts on Tunnel of Bones! Gavin sent it to me and I'm holding off until believathon so let me live vicariously through you
Oeh oeh as for questions: do a Twitter poll for each colour! And a friends recomendation (you better ask me at some point 😏)... AND PET PICK WITH MAURICE! Hahahahaha! I’m stealing Codie’s idea. Also fun: last purchase, higest and lowest rated on Goodreads, book with 500+ pages... book out of your comfort zone... 🖤❤️🖤❤️
I love this idea. Good luck with your TBR. Question suggestions: 5 star prediction, fantasy featuring a badass female main character, the oldest book on your TBR, the most recent book on your TBR, a diverse fantasy.
Some addition for the cards: Pick a book with the colour of the genre on the cover, so if for example you land on sci fi you can pick a book with yellow on the cover
Great idea. Some question ideas: Which book would you recommend to someone new to this genre? A stand alone book. A book with a natural element on the front cover. And you should always have which book have you been avoiding.
Questions, what series you want to start? what book has a superhero in it? What book is a historical fiction? loved this by the way, nice take to make your tbr.
I found the first game! This is awesome, I love it!! I have my TBR game I guess (if we can call it that - number generator is not that amazing lol), but I didn't add books for July 1 to 4 because the month doesn't start on a Monday. I decided to find myself a few books anyway since there's no way I'm gonna spend the next 4 days not reading just to start on a Monday! So, I made a list with books I was pretty sure weren't on the TBR I already made and this is my list until July 4 (I would normally have 5 or 6 books going but I was watching everyone's videos today so I didn't have time to keep adding more. I'll still be reading at least 31 books this month to keep my goal going of reading as many books as there are days in each month...): How To Train Your Dragon (loving this so much right now - I'm rating it a 4 stars so far, just like Gavin I believe) Every Heart a Doorway (this one is a 4 right now but I'm enjoying it. May be a 5 by the end of it) Dragons in a Bag (3 stars so far. Cute but nothing special. This book as well as EHAD was in the TBR but I took those out and need to replace them with something else at some point) The Nixie’s Song: Beyond Spiderwick Chronicles, Book 1 (I started this not realizing it's a sequel but I finished it anyway and loved it. Gave it 4 stars. I'm gonna get the Spiderwick Chronicles physically because it doesn't exist on audio on Audible. I'll be adding it to the library, so I'm hoping my nephews gravitate towards it when the library is finally up. Maybe my niece will wanna read it when she learns to read. She's gonna be 5 on August 10). The latest game just went up not too long ago but I'm already looking forward to the next one. I love these games. I don't read enough genres to make a game like yours, though. Maybe one day I can find a way to do it.
Loved it you guys should play this at quarterly book club. What book bored you after 50 pages and you dnf it and need to try it again? What is a book that has vampires? A book that has fae in it? A book you normally wouldn’t read but a friend suggested? Idk lol 😂
The Merciful Crow! I just got it but already forgot what it is about haha A Conjuring of light is my favourite in the series! The long way to a small angry planet is still on my tbr and has been for such a long time! Really loved the Language of Thorns! This is a huge tbr I mean it looks like a lot haha Loved this video!!
