I got my Vex on my first run, I'm going to go get the catalyst today.
It wasn't retroactive for my teammates who didn't have it either
Also just so u know it's like Divinity u can join at the end and still get catalyst u don't have to be here for the oracles!
@@placidflunky6642 I think it MAY be retroactive ONLY if everyone in the fireteam has the mythoclast (or at least, more than one person). I really don't see them making people do it 6 times if 6 people have mythoclast.

Edit: for those asking: yes i did get it. Funnily enough it just took me a little under 10 tries if i remember correctly. Every other raid exotic took me around 50 tries i think

That's how I feel every time I use Jotunn or Le Monarque. They've been in the game for ages, but Bungie would rather give newer guns like Deathbringer catalysts than them.

@@shadow_blaze2317 I can see giving Le monarque a catalyst cause bows are cool. But fuck Jotunn users. That weapon is for cheap, talentless losers who can’t aim. It needs to be removed, not get a catalyst.
Just in case anyone from witch queen onwards is looking at this, there is a huge Quality of Life update for the oracles.
A hunter can shatterskate (eager edged) to the left of plate 5 to the large flat block (you can also can wellskate or bubbleskate).
From that platform, you can see all spawns for all waves, all without having to whip your camera around 360°. Explosive Payload scout rifles will 1-shot the oracles here, and it is very easy to solo every wave after an attempt or two.

had a team member on hidden plate 5 and a team member on top of the cliff at 9:42 to shoot the oracles. made it much easier

If you look through the portal after it is activated you can see where the Vex portal was in the Whisper mission.
Fallout gets these Videos out faster than me getting frozen in Crucible
I still don’t have eyes of tomorrow after 84 raids, so I’ll just bookmark this video for when the mythoclast drops in a year from now.

I got 1k on my 8th, anarchy on my 6th, tarrabah on my 4th, eyes on my 2nd and 3rd back to back days, vex on my 11th.

For the fifth plate, keep someone up high, before your jump down to it, in the cave. That person can look down and see all the oracles at once easily

Got my vex today after 89 clears. Thanks for guide.
For the final Vex plate I found it MUCH easier to shoot from the bottom far right side. Jump all the way down like you're going to Atheon's throne room, but after the jumping puzzle instead of going down the hallway to Atheon, turn around and shoot the oracles from the big open yellow-lit area.
The oracles all have low HP so any scout rifle will work. Plus from farther away they look pretty closely grouped so you don't need to spin around to aim like in this video.
After you finish, the last couple jumping platforms in this area will still take you to the portal for the catalyst. Just be quick as the catalyst can despawn if you take too long (happened to somebody in my fireteam).
Finally got Vex last week and just finished my catty run. Thank you for the guide!
Finally got the gun and just finished the catalyst no more than a minute ago. I'm so unbelievably happy because I seen the patch notes and said yep I have to get this before it gets buffed. Pound for pound totally worth it.

For those who have Vex but not the catalyst, Its not as bad as it looks, I ran it with 5 other randos, no mic (ingame chat wasnt even working), There was a lot of trial and error for some of the plates, but for the final plate I recommend standing on the catalyst portal to shoot the speedy ones. Good luck!
After running 72 VOG raids today was the day that I finally got the drop. I had zero hopes when slowly walked up the ramp after dropping final boss. I spotted something yellow and purple on the ground and I just dropped my controller …
I got it on my 3rd try

I got the Vex yesterday after my 12th completion out 40 VOG attempts. I’ve heard of 200 completions and no Vex. I swear my son brings me good luck. Great guide. Now I have get a fire team 😔 to the catalyst!!
Not possible for 200 attempts.
You get 1x chance per character each week. So it's capped at 3x attempts, if you run all 3x characters each week.
The raid came out May 22, it's week 19, which means anyone running 3x characters a week since it launched has had 57 attempts total to get it.
I just got it last night with attempt #55.

A masterwork that disincentives using the exotic’s exotic trait feels kinda off to me. By the point that you’re getting the most benefit from the catalyst, you’re switching fire modes to one that doesn’t need the bonus.
And remember you can't switch weapons at all, otherwise you'll lose both benefits.
You aren't supposed to switch to line mode whenever you can. Killing 6 small enemies is easy anyway, not like getting the 6 charges is as hard as getting the catalyst
Well this time it additionally increases Damage alongside the Stability with the stacks so it's pretty solid

Hey this is an old video but pro tip, stand above the final puzzle and one person can see and do all four puzzles! Just did it and much easier than breaking my wrist standing on the rock!

If you go to the portal where you grab the vex catalyst you can see all oracles spawn on plate 5

I got The Vex in my first run, got Eyes of Tomorrow on my 3rd run and I got 1k voices on my second run. Think I'm pretty Lucky tbh
Thanks for the guide fallout, the only thing I'll say for other people doing this: my group found it easier to have each person keep an eye on oracle each for the last vex plate, but your mileage may vary.
Ran VoG once with an LFG group. Great guys. I felt a little guilty when Vex Mythocladt dropped. I probably used up my luck for the next year.

The Vex Portal at the end has a timer on it say 90-180 seconds. If you don't get to it quickly enough the portal deactivates, and stepping on the plate will not reward you with the catalyst. Leaving the Fire team and re-entering will not also fix it. All that work was for nothing.
Happened to me today. I wasn’t over there by plate 5 when they did it, so I had to cross the chasm backward from the order the pillars spawn so I kept falling off and didn’t make it there in time:(

so for the last plate, send all but the Vex person to the other side ( boss room entrance side ) and have them shot the oracles from there. no need for spinning around to shoot them. that's what my team did and it worked great!!!!

It was Friday September 10th 2021 @ 3 am when it finally dropped for me on my Titan. It was one of the best raid experiences ever with an LFG, mostly from the UK.
We randomly decided to say “baby” at the end of every sentence from the very beginning of the raid and I think I probably said it more than anyone else, “baby.” It was around my 20th completion. “ Yeawwh baby!” 😝
I stopped playing D2 alittle after witch queen got back like a few months ago haven't played VOG all that much but after I got back I got my vex during my 7th run yes lucky number Sleven can't wait to get the catylist

For people that are new to the raid or haven't even gotten it yet make sure your fireteam has it already cause when your fireteam has it the drop rate will go up

I'm the lucky person in my group. Got the mythoclast on our 2nd raid clear. I just came back to the game like 2 months ago and all my friends that have been playing the game constantly are mad. I also got the 1k on my second or 3rd clear of Last wish, and I got the Nanophoenix ship from wrath of the machine in D1. Granted I got that one after doing the raid like 20 times, but I joined the destiny community in Christmas of year 4 in D1, after all the dlc's had been released. My luck with raid exclusives is unmatched

We just did the vog and the team started oracle last puzzle before I could reach final plate. Yeah, I hate jumping puzzles. After the portal appeared, I still couldn't make my way there. So after some time it disappeared. Thank you, Bungie, nice trolling mechanic.
