On the pacing lap note, I think we just want the ability to choose. Sometimes, i just want those slow laps to regain my composure but maybe I just want to skip straight to racing. Having the ability to choose AND the ability to control my car during pits just add that level of immersion.
One of the biggest reasons people want to control the car under caution is because when a wreck happens people want the ability to avoid it and control the outcome. For example in the heat games when someone wrecks and it takes control from you and smashes into the other cars. That seems to be one of the biggest reasons from people I have talked to
I just want it for more immersion. like the f1 games when the VSC comes out and you slow down then you see the wreck yourself and then you make the decision to take the free stop or stay out and it just makes it more fun and adds to the excitement that's supposed to be in the game
Or the biggest reason… It’s a racing simulator and I want the full experience and immersion. Pace laps, taking the wave around, or getting the lucky dog and lining back up for restarts is awesome. There are enough games out there that skip over all of that so why would people want to take it away from one of the few that don’t.
Add a couple more local short tracks such as hickory, southern national, myrtle beach, Langley, south Boston, I would like to see at least a couple out of that list

I would force one pit stop on road courses as well. If you have an issue or have to pit it gives you a chance to get back in the race. I always like to have at least one pit stop
I'd love to see you race at Road Atlanta. Been there more than any other track, it's IMSA's championship race every season, and it's a pretty cool place.

Screw that. I always want to be able to control the car through cautions and all. It’s a simulator. Drivers don’t get to skip cautions in the real race. You have to learn to chill in IRacing. You had 30 laps to go after losing it for a turn. All you do when you rush is get tense and end up doing something dumb to end your race or burn your tires up and lose anyways.

Shit was basically Kentucky before Kentucky where it’s ass until the last 2 years it has memorable Cup finishes
My guess on the fuel would be the 60% you put them at is too low. You could run 47 laps on fuel meaning they can only run 28 laps. In. 70 lap race, they would have to pit twice.
If I were you, id add all the tracks currently on the schedule irl and then rearrange the order according to the schedule irl. Like for example you start off with Nascars biggest event(Daytona), Auto Club the week after, and then progress through it to we’re you might be at Texas next. The non cup tracks can be added after the dates we don’t currently have AI capabilities on iRacing yet.
Why not play NR2003 it has better ai and you can get the next gen car and race it have all the tracks you want also your not using playoffs and championship mode in nr2003 is the exact same thing you have on iRacing just better🤷🏾♂️

IMPORTANT: iRacing only tells you the true fuel amount when you reach 100% throttle. It's not accurate under caution or when you're stopped.

Short tracks make the AI trip sometimes especially on pit stops.

Yeah they had the Thunder Special from 96-98 and Suzuka and Twin Ring Motegi.
I like how you can manually disqualify ai drivers so if they are wrecked and way off the pace you can dq them so its like they crashed out of the race
