Well the sims 3 University is a lot of fun, if you need to try watching some let's play videos by The Quxxn and AndrewArcade. But Island paradise I would say is better for me anyway just because you get to build house boats, run a resort, be a lifeguard, meet mermaids, and much more if you watch Island Paradise by quxxn it helps a lot for me.

I don't think you will be able to make them, it will probably be something you have to find or make a potion or something to become one. Like a quest.
