    Cool workaround but I think Revit is lacking many basic feature's which should be there in the very first version.

    So it's not really "rotate any family freely in 3d", it's reload every single family in your project manually, and save as a different family.
    AutoDesk does know that most modelling software isn't completely bamboozled by 3d space, right?

    This is the method BIMPure showed few years ago. But there is MUCH shorter way to rotate any family vertically with only 2 clicks in family and 5 clicks in project.

      @@hasantahhan Sorry for late reply. You need to enter a family and turn off "Always vertical" and turn on "Work plane based". Load it to a project. In project create Work plane in desired view and direction and name that work plane! Create section parallel to that work plane. Enter section, place that family with work plane as reference. And that's it
