In this video we have compared and reviewed the popular scooter engine oils like Motul scooter LE, Castrol Activ Scooter, Gulf pride Scooter engine oil and the Mobil super moto scooter engine oil. In the past we have compared stock scooter engine oils like TVS Skuuta, Yamalube optima prime scooter and Honda Premium scooter engine oil from Shell.

We have compared these JASO MB scooter engine oils as per our experience in heavy city traffic and highway rides. The Fuel efficiency we got and the value for money factor were also considered when making a choice amongst these scooter engine oils. Please note that all these engine oils meet with the API SL standards where API stand for American Petroleum Institute.
The Motul Scooter LE engine oil was used on both TVS Jupiter and Honda activa. The Castrol Activ scooter engine oil was used in Hero Duet and TVS Jupiter. Gulf pride scooter engine oil was used in Honda Activa. Mobil super moto scooter engine oil was used in Honda Activa and TVS Ntorq 125.

I have tried a lot of 10w30 oils including the new tvs Skuuta MB, Older TVS oil MA2, castrol active oil for my Jupiter but Motul 10w30 scooter LE (₹ 240 per 800ml pack) performed best for my usage which is as follows -
1) Very Short trips to market ; 2km round trip
2) Short trip with friends once a week; 5-10km
No highway usage and never above 40kmh (small town life 😂)

I'm gonna use castrol active scooter engine oil & gear oil in my Tvs Jupiter Bs6. I think it's a good combo package of engine oil & gear oil for all gear less scooters. It also not so expensive. From my childhood i have been hearing this brand's name. My dad was also using this brand's oil in his LML Vesspa scooter.

Yesterday I had just change my scooter Activa 4g engine oil with Motul it performs well it may slightly increase the mileage

From Malaysia. I'm riding Honda ADV 150 and been using Castrol Power 1 Full Scooter Synthetic 5-40 which for me performed better than Honda stock oil and cheaper too. Have to done testing with this type of oil.
Im use honda vario 150, which i use 10w/40scooter castrol i feel motor like dont perform well, more better using 10w/30 orginal honda oil, but after this i went to change to ipone or armsoil for my scooter

Sir, I have a doubt .Most of the mechanics are advising to change the engine oil for 2.5 to 3000kms but at show room they advise us to check and top-up the oil at 3000km or 3months which ever is earlier and to change the engine oil at 6000km or 6months which ever is the earlier. I have purchased TVs Jupiter on 2016 even today I am following this rule. I didn't find any problem in my vehicle.
dont follow the showroom stupid advice, 3000km is the limit for any motorcycle oil mineral or synthetic because of constant high rpm. 2000km is the best for me.
open your motorcycle manual book read the oil grade recommendation and change interval time. The maker knows best
I use liqui Molly 10w30 street along with shooter for my 14 years old hero honda pleasure. Drain interval @4000km. Milage around 56kmph, engine butter smooth no heating issue found. Instant pickup , no cold start issue. I use hp petrol plus pouch with 5 litres of petrol. No issue found. Earlier I use hero 4t genuine oil . No issue identified but after 2000km is tends to heat with lower viscosity

I am using Castrol activ,for engine and gear oil for gear box,the acceleration has improved and vibration are negligible,used motul scooter le previously,both are equally good......
By using Castrol activ many time I can say it's smooth but after 50 Activa engine kind of feel rough vibraty. Otherwise good and drain period is also good till 2500 to 3000. Whereas I used
Veedol 10w30 scooter oil viscosity index 10.8 ( Castrol 11) the pickup is smooth pickup is amazing and no vibration roughness till 60 . But all that is till 2000kms after it feels rough after 40-45kmoh. Hardly drive till 2400km then drained.🙂. What's your view?

Yes. Different engines respond differently to different engine oils. Honda's feel good with Veedol & Castrol, others feel good with Motul and so on. The important point is that the engine should never run out of engine oil and we should never extend the drain interval, no matter how good the engine oil is.

Boss there are so many things you are not taking about but one very important one is how engines behave with the oil after a long drive on a hot and cold day does smoothness decrease it remains the same
I have purchased castrol activ scooter a few months back and currently using it on my suzuki access, yesterday I came back from a trip and I can say that GOD! Castrol oil is superb! I rode 160 kilometres yesterday and among that 160 kilometres 48 kilometres were narrow and small state highway and the rest was National highway. I kept 60 to 85 kilometres per hour on the state highway and went full throttle on national highway.. for 112 kilometres (with 3 small breaks of 10/15 mins) I have tortured my access by using full throttle and it was at a constant speed of 97 km/h. I did not feel any vibration in my handlebar or foot board like last time when I was using Idemitsu oil (cheap one) recommend by Suzuki. I am really happy with castrol's highway performance.

Sir after watching your video I resorted to motul oil for my tvs jupiter at 1500km so now after how many km I should change the oil my usage in only upto city and rarely on highways.

Any plans to review Valvoline semi synthetic.. I just used it on a long trip on hero pleasure 240 KM's one side. It worked well though in same price range of castrol . Valvoline is JSO MB certified dedicated for scooters.

The Amsoil 10W-30 JASO MA fully synthetic oil is currently under test and as expected it is living up to its expectations.
Scooter always recommended Jaso MB,but if anyone continuously use jaso MA does it hamper the performance or make any damage to scooter engine??

Considering the value for money factor I feel instead of semi synthetic engine oil a fully synthetic engine oil like the Shell advance ultra or 7100 will be a better choice and performer. For regular city under light traffic AX7 should not disappoint, how is your experience?

Bro I m using Castrol active power 1 cruise sinthetic on my pulsar 150 what is the drain interval . And do u know better engine oil than this for high temperature riding
*Drain interval should be between 2.5k--3k km. And for your pulsar 150 use motul 7100 fully synthetic engine oil for less vibration and better performance & mileage and u can also use motul 5100 semi synthetic engine oil for smooth gear shift and better performance & mileage..! And u can drain these both engine oil between 4500--5000 km or within 6 months.*

Semi synthetic oils are better when it comes to cold starts. The cost isn't too high and the performance difference is noticeable. All though most manufacturers recommend 10W30, oils with 10W40 grade perform even better on scooters. Eagerly waiting to see what fully synthetic oils does to the scooters performance !
