Warhammer fantasy is the most known ttrpg system in my country. Ive played it for the first time even before I knew what ttrpgs are. But i see a quite unfortunate thing happening now. Lots of people hate the system because avarage player that plays it can be described as racist, fascinated of WW2 Germany history and toxic. Of course not every player is like that but really a lot of them are just horrible people that want to win as a GM and to shove your character in mud and criticize you when you say that's not fun. Sometimes I feel like i would like to play Warhammer again because its my childhood but then my friends refuse cause of these poor memories.
Yeah, dunno what it is about Warhammer but it seems to attract the worst kind of people. It's a pretty obvious critique of authoritarianism but they seem to not understand the satire and love the aesthetic. 40k is especially bad for that.
