The thing I love about necro is being able to kill bosses without having to do NASA shit. I have to focus, but not do 400 million key presses per second to figure out.
As someone who's done very little PvM due to a huge barrier of entry, Necromancy has fixed the game for me. Last night decided to try get some help for T80/90 tasks, but no one was free so I tried solo. Got Nex, Telos and working on Amby in a single night, all bosses I was far too afraid to try kill previously. Jagex have knocked it out of the park on this one. The fact that other styles compete or even can beat necro if you're a PvM god is great too as an expression of skill

Adding a new skill with forced bossing to get higher tier weapons and armor somehow just doesn't sit too well with me. I will get my Max cape back even if I have to kill skellies in Edgeville dungeon. Making anything more complicated doesn't necessarily make it more interesting or enjoyable.

Rituals give me a migraine much like livid farm does.Too much random motion.I don't know why I need to see others doing rituals.Jagex made a way around that. I will get 99 Necromancy and my Max Cape back. They refuse to accommodate non bossing players to use DTD . They should just remove them from the game.
I don't play rs3 anymore but what they did is awesome with necromancy. They knew it was hard for players to do end game pvm due to the ridiculous pilot level keybinds.
I had never done most of the end game bosses before Necro due to the previously immense cost of both high end gear and deaths, but I was able to solo everything (after several attempts to learn) from Rax, Zuk, Telos, Nex, Ambi and several GWD bosses for the first time and I feel so much more confident about high end content and learned a lot. I still spent a lot of money on supplies and some unavoidable stuff so now I can try and get my money back!
It would be nice if you explained wtf is happening in any of this. Like, does this kind of performance depend on the T95 weapons? How am I supposed to maintain dps while off Living Death and can't spam Fingers? When should I be using which spec, during LD or off LD? Are you just spamming Skulls? Do you use all three summons at all times, and if so how are you handling the adren costs of re-summoning and re-commanding mid fight? I just got 24 seconds on Vindy with revo, but 15 seems impossible.
There are a few things working in conjunction around his living death rotation that you need context for. First, he applies 3 skulls during his LD as a result of 1. Precise timing, 2. Reduced cooldowns, 3. Zuk cape buffs. Within his LD he also primarily used touch of death and necromancy (gaining him necro stacks to work towards more finger of death hits). You can apply several other abilities in the LD rotation without loss of any potential finger of death prove (or very little to be considered irrelevant as he attempts to speed through Raksha’s hp barrier (200k LP remaining). It should be noted that you get the most out of the zuk cape and other toys by casting death skulls 5 times, made possible by the LD reset on skulls and touch of death. So you do a skulls before you LD and a skulls after LD IF your timing was correct. You had also mentioned the summons issue, there are several things also working in Ryan’s favor here as well. 1. T95 armour set which extends the life of his summons, 2. He likely uses the spell “life transfer” gaining additional time on his summons. The adrenaline issue is made possible by remaining outside of combat while he summons them and having no target to “hit”. Many abilities can also work like this, primarily defensive abilities. Oh, and split soul stronk I hope this covered some of the questions you had, and wish you happy scaping.
The best part about Necro is that people like me who can do ~ok at bosses but stayed away from high-tier PvM because it was just so damn complicated, can actually take on those bosses now with a combat skill that's not so overly complicated that it takes four keyboards of keybinds and a spreadsheet for rotations. Necromancy is just plain FUN and the fact I'm not managing 17 different buffs and debuffs and switches means I'm actually able to focus on what the boss is doing and engaging with the mechanics instead of just memorizing an exact sequence of keystrokes and mouse clicks and dying whenever I miss something.
I don't think it matters if the skulls bounce off a second target or back to you, you will always get the same amouth of hits on the main target if the main target has the highest HP 18:26
The way things are going, it probably wouldn't hurt if some things get reverted. Fsoa for one should keep the recursive attacks, grico was never game breaking to begin with, magma tempest was a good way to not increase any additional crit bonuses while being able to crit itself, and smoke cloud could probably be reverted as well if necro is constantly hitting 30k's already. Necro literally has a gchain, omnipower, and ecb spec in its kit. I know melee is getting left out but it's actually one of my favorite style- the damage is right there with botlg and fsoa but the switches on it is sweaty asf. Sirenic and Tectonic is in dire need of set bonus. Not degrading in elite dungs is a joke compared to death mark and dodge chances necromancy gives lol. Necromancy as it stands, definitely stomps the other styles and it's not even close.
I'd love to see a podcast style video on what they're doing with necromancy. As mid tier noob it's amazing being able to acces dps easily. No shields switching just hit the buttons make so much sense. I feel like this video is a landmark in getting necro nerfed when combat has never been better in the mid game

I just like the idea of not needing a diff set of macros and a full inventory of switches to be able to get kills at bosses. Never been a fan of switchscape. Which means I’m not a very good pvm’er.
magic is still my favourite... the game is called runescape, i used to make my own runes to take into combat. i always had all the fancy runes and i could cast any spell at any time.
I feel like an idiot for holding any regular gear before this came out. Soon all we will need is necro gear.. but then.. whats the point of pvm if every drop is worthless?
It actually enrages me how gimped melee is by the arbitrary hitcap, yet necro gets to waltz in casually hitting 20-30k with multiple abilities regularly. Shit is actually stupid imo.

I love how you basically never had to spam abilities. This combat style is very new player/returning player friendly but opens you up to the ability to learn full manual combat and eventually leads you to other styles as well once you learn everything.

Can i be real. I went 99 in the first 3 days and i think the necromancy combat feels weird u start rotation ,break, threshs, break, restart. you have these weird breaks mid combat. It doesn't feel good just stack building and minion spam.. and it is really unfun to level.. idk not really enjoying it. I mean fsoa back in it's release Was the same than this threads of fate? So nerf is coming?
apart from death skulls, do you see any nerfs coming to this style? its hardto believe that just being able to casually hit 30ks as often as you can w/ necromancy is going to stay in the game considering its not possible with the other styles
I think it's good, but it's supposed to be good. Good necromancy rotations get you *close* to properly using the other styles, which seems reasonable considering it's significantly easier to optimize with no switches or other janky stuff. I could see small adjustments but if it were me, it stays around this good.

@@TheRSGuy Hmm, if it's in line with the other styles at 100% efficiency, just significantly easier to pull off good damage, I suppose they might let it be. I know it let me easily smash through all my records at GWD2 without even really trying, but then I know I wasn't particularly optimal when I established them.
Hopefully they leave the game this way, it has actually allowed me to get into bossing more without having to grind for gold to buy gear at inflated prices.
Haven't played the game in a while and necromancy unfortunately didnt bring me back to it. While new style is fun and looks awesome, theres so much powercreep that none of the bosses are challenging and enjoyable anymore... You have pretty much made Pr's every on single boss with no effort

Loving coming back to rs3 and relearning all the content from the years I didn’t play, necromancy feels like it makes end game pvm more accessible
