When you look at them closely, the quality of engineering is absolutely matching Titleist! Wilson won’t thank me for saying this, but 10 years ago when I used to sell them at AG, they were miles off!
Long and solid. Naughty boys! These irons look impressive. My first irons were Wilson in the late 70s, and my first ever new set in the 80s were Wilson 1200ge which I still have somewhere. Good to see them making a comeback.
Wilson keep on getting better, I was surprised by the difference between the two new models and the forged. I will be interested to see the new Forged when they eventually get updated. Play the forged along side the new standard model you liked the best, be good to see the on course playability side by side, not just the length advantage in sim.
I’ve not tested the zip core, I will do next time I’m with sam, he might be able to answer that question better. I’ve for a feeling though, the Wilson max could be a good option with the more traditional lofts and offset, cranked upright ⛳️
Just wish I had the money to spend on new clubs as it seems every year a new and better set of clubs come along last year everyone was saying you cant beat these clubs and this year its another set that is better so do you change every year ?
No of course not, if you changed every year, you wouldn’t notice enough improvement. It’s the time of year where new clubs are being released and we can’t play much golf so it’s the ideal time to drop the videos for anybody wanting any info on the clubs over the next 12 months. I wouldn’t suggest changing unless your irons or very tired, or you’ve never been properly fitted, and you want to treat yourself.
Another fantastic review from the pair of you, Wilson have really upped their game the past few years

I couldn’t believe Wilson used to be the number one club until I picked up some old magazines! I really think they’re making a comeback !

I know. The courses around here should be open on greens next week, so we’ll be back out, finally 🏌🏽♂️🫶🏼
Great Vid Gary. I am thinking about getting the Forged irons, feel great an look even better! Fitted at Yeovil golf club of course.
They’re nice, and for the better golfer, they’re lofted nice so they’re not just rocket launches, you can control them.
Have you seen the zxi4 😮
long and solid. that needs to be the wilson tag line.
Ahahah 😃
I think you need a round with the middle one.
I agree. They felt too easy to hit, I will try to get a round with some ⛳️
What u suggesting for 16 handicap with a fade? Torn between these and new Cleveland zip core irons?

That’s what we want too. If the forecast stays as it is, we’ll be back out on the course next week, creating content for the week after.
