    Well I guess we need to sort through the comments on the earlier post to find out the issue. Happy you solved your problem, but would have been happier if you would have done your excellent job of passing it along in great detail. You the man!

      Not really the answer is within the first 7 comments....plus Terry appended the solution at the very end of the first video.

      @@paulsullivan6392 I guess I’m too stupid to understand what the actual fault was that he corrected. I rewatched the end of his first video and didn’t see the solution appended to the end of the vid. Not sure how you sorted your comments so my first seven comments might be different than yours. I do appreciate you getting back to me and I had hoped that I had missed something obvious but alas I’m still missing the specifics of the fault in the AVC circuit. Thanks again for the reply and I’m sure I will enjoy his next video as usual. 👍

    Nice receiver. I used one just after I got my General in 1959. I went to my one and only field day and the station operator asked to see my license (I was 15). I remember how nice the filtering was. I looked for one for a while but ended up much later refurbing an SX-96B - an even nicer unit.

    I’m not familiar with this model. Does it have a product detector for SSB? On my SX-42, I shut AVC off, turn volume all the way up, sensitivity down, BFO on, and work the master volume with sensitivity.

  • @PapasDino
    @PapasDino Год назад +5

    Was the AVC fix also responsible for the low sensitivity on the lower bands? Or was that a separate issue you had to troubleshoot? 73 - Dino KLØS

    • @d-labelectronics
