Chen Lijun is the most beautiful of "men", ever! And what a voice. Love her. She can give a run to any of the Tarakazuka Theater stars in Japan! And considering that Yue Opera only got its start in 1906, it's about equal in length if not in production until recently.
At first it was difficult to listen, when both female and male roles are singing quite high. After a while, got used to it. And the listener can then detdct a small difference in scale between the different 'genders'. The two complement each other very well.
