Glad I stumbled onto your channel. Subscribed! Welcome to 964 ownership! Like you I had to do a full engine rebuild when I acquired my car 5yrs ago. I’ve been driving it daily ever since. These cars are definitely a work in progress. Do you plan to do your own maintenance and such after the rebuild?

Thanks man, that’s so good to hear! Yeah I know, every oldtimer is… and yes and no, I think it depends on what type of job it is, but I’ll try and do most if it myself yes. Since I have all the lifts and the majority of the tools, it would be a pitty to spend money on mecanics for basic jobs

Those rims are prefect on your car! What are they?

They are in Spiesen-Elversberg near Saarbrücken in the West of Germany near the French and Luxembourgish border.

In 2016 a full engine rebuild cost £8,000 (by a reputable builder). This new premium is based on current values and not labour and cost of parts.

Incredible how things shift when the car prices go up! I guess, or at least hope, that this guy here doesn't want to scare people away and very obviously knows his way around these cars. I put my entire trust in this one. Hoping for the best.
I'm more and more convinced that I hopped on the 964 train WAY too late unfortunately.
But even back then, those cars very always out of my budget. The problem is that with my budget growing, the prices of these cars did too, and the offer reduces considerably as well... This is the reason I am ever so grateful to own one, despite all of its flaws.
