When i saw the nude scene I was thinking: "Yes, this is a body. I know this body." I know this body from my mum, my grandma, myself, a past girlfriend. Lots of women look like this. The scene was sweet and felt familiar.
I loved her performance in Good Luck to you, Leo Grande.....totally unlike anything she’s done before. The movie was like a hybrid of Before Sunrise meets The Graduate and American Gigiglo. She had tremendous chemistry with Daryl McCormack who I think will become a big star.
Sounds like a film I need to watch as I am in that film characters female demographic. I adore Emma Thompson in everything she has been in. She is an extraordinary actress and a wonderfully funny person whom I could listen to all day, every day. If I I were to meet her I would tell her how much I love her acting, her sense of humour, and her smile, which is so warm and friendly and so terribly open and honest. She has a lovely voice, and kind eyes just like my mother's were. Emma Thompson and Maggie Smith are my two top favourite actresses of all time. They are both utterly exceptional, and quintessentially British! God bless them both!
My heart just melted a little when she said she loved “The Queen’s Gambit”, since she worked with Thomas Brodie Sangster (who’s in TQG) on Nanny McPhee and Love Actually 🥹
i always dreamed of meeting her in person when i was growing up i watched nanny macphee all the time with my cousins and my sibblings she had been through my m life for 15 years and i admire that i watched the orginal matilda at a young age and growing up miss trunchbull had been my favourite characters in all of the movie and watching emma as my faveorite character litterly changed my life she gave the love and that made trunchbull stronger and yeah shes been my idol for 15 years all i can remember im doing dances to the songs from the new matida so i hope emma loves it. amber
Wow..i feel very sad for you. I hope you can possibly re-think this. My 82 year old mother has cancer. We watched this together. We thought it was a beautiful journey for a woman. All the untold things that women aren't supposed to talk about, or feel. Emma and this beautiful young man portrayed it perfectly. 💜💜💜
She’s so open , natural , sincere, warm, humble, kind and positive. Everything everyone loves in others.
A class act in every way. I absolutely adore that woman.
I love Emma!! She's such a fantastic actress and seems like such a genuinely wonderful person

She is a lady that will always be drop dead gorgeous no matter what clothes she is (or is not) wearing.

I lost all respect for you for doing that disgusting movie. I'm glad your beloved husband was not alive to see how low you have gone.
Did you watch it?
