    This pizza oven is fantastic. Pizza is done in 4 minutes at 700 degrees F. The high temperature is needed to melt mozzarella cheese. The result is pizza so much better than any I have eaten in my life.

      I completely agree. It has been the best investment I’ve made for pizza at home!

    Great vid. I'm on the fence whether to get this oven. I think your video may have persuaded me.

      Thank you! I was on the fence as well, but I'm so glad I got it and gave it a shot. Extremely happy with the results!! My steel in the regular oven is now reserved for bagels and bread.

    Thanks for the vid. Just purchased this oven and get it tomorrow. Any dough/sauce recipes you guys recommend?

      You’re going to love it! We use this dough www.knowyourproduce.com/homemade-pizza-dough/ and then as far as the sauce you can get canned plum tomatoes and crush them, or buy canned crushed tomatoes. I add in basil, oregano, granulated garlic, salt, and pepper. We don’t recommend that you cook the sauce, it will cook with the dough. Happy pizza making!

    Thank you for the review 🙏 Do you still think it’s a good pizza oven? And could you please tell me where you got the wood board underneath it from?

    • @KnowYourProduce
      @KnowYourProduce  21 день назад +1

      It’s perfect for our needs! Another option we love is the nerd chef pizza steel. The wooden board is a cutting board I bought so many years ago at Marshalls.

      @@KnowYourProduce Thank you for replying so quickly 🙏 it’s on sale for $120 right now and a lot of reviewers gave it bad reviews! I’m glad I found yours. Thank you again.

    I recently got this on offer for £150 in the UK ("half price" from the manufacturer, although places like Amazon/QVC were selling it £200-£250 anyway). The pizza has been amazing (and making dough hasn't been as difficult as I was expecting) - it's going to save a lot on having pizza delivered! 😄
    Edit: Just noticed your peel was solid - ours was perforated.

      It’s such a game changer for making pizza at home! Ooh, I wish ours came perforated!

    Oh, I forgot, why do you remove the pizza steel for everything? We leave it in and cook everything as normal from casseroles to sheet trays of cookies. May have to reduce cooking time a couple of minutes but otherwise it seems to help everything cook more consistently too.

    • @KnowYourProduce

      I use ceramic a lot and the heat is just too much for my liking.

    I like the idea, I just find that the pizzas are smaller than I want. I often wonder why it's so hard to get an oven that does a 16 or rectangle. With my steel in the oven I get much more pizza. I also have the Cuisinart 3 in 1 that makes pizza (outdoor gas) I love it for versatility (pizza oven, griddle, grill...) but I still end up defaulting to my oven. Maybe if this comes out for a bigger size. -- Great video! (I have a review of the gas 3-N-1 and also have some videos of doing pizza in the oven on the steel using a "no flour/no mess" way to do it.)

      Definitely would love a bigger size, but also that comes with a bigger unit. I will say the 12” is pretty good for us! We all like to make our own toppings so it works out well. 😊

    Is the crumb tray really essential?
    Just thinking the stone might heat up quicker.

    • @KnowYourProduce
      @KnowYourProduce  4 месяца назад +1

      I find it helps! There are some crumbs around it but things that have fallen are usually on it, like broccoli chunks etc

    Would there be any purpose to using a pizza steel in the Cuisinart? Would you use it if your stone broke? Pros and cons?
    I just got mine yesterday and will be using it tonight for Friday night pizza. I bought the dough and sauce to get started since the recipes call for a 3-day resting period for the dough. Thanks for your informative video!

      You’re so welcome! We hope you love it too! I’m happy with the pizza stone inside of the Cuisinart so if any issues came up, I’d probably replace it if it like cracked or something otherwise I don’t know if there’s an actual pizza steel that would fit inside or if it would be too heavy for the actual oven. The weight of steel is heavier than the stone, so that’s a concern for me.

    Where did you get the wood board you sat the cusinart pizza oven on?

    • @KnowYourProduce
      @KnowYourProduce  9 месяцев назад +1

      This is just a cutting board I found at my local HomeGoods quite a few years ago.

      I let it come up to temp again, it varies.

      Yes! You get a mezzaluna and peel if you buy it from QVC I believe.

    New York water is the trick to making the best dough. Most people don't know this, but it makes a big difference.

    How long did it take ?

    • @KnowYourProduce
      @KnowYourProduce  10 месяцев назад

      It’s going to depend on the pizza dough, size and toppings. I carefully watch my pizza so anywhere from 3-5 minutes.
