The best part of your video was the last part. All engineers should be required to spend time on the production floor. Communication between office and plant is invaluable.

This is one of the occurring points in my videos and blog posts. I am constantly reminding young designers to communicate with the shop floor. Communication is key to great design. Thank you for pointing it out and highlighting the importance of proper communication!

The ideas of ISO 286 are very old. ISO 8015:2011 changed a very basic roule of the understanding how a feature of size is specified: Independence principle. Unfortunately the control of a fit needs the dependence principle. We should take care for the modifier of a „linear size“: LP - GX - GN. In this video the ISO GPS default LP is not change to the requirements of a fit.

Hello! Thank you for your comment. ISO 286 is great for understanding the concept of fits and it is widely used. On the other hand, as you mentioned, it is a bit more complicated than it is stated in ISO 286. However, before moving to GPS (Geometrical Product Specification which would be equivalent to GD&T - for those who do not know), one needs to learn the basics before moving further. I am planning to cover this topic in the future in depth.

Synthetic voice and a bad one at that. Makes content hard to follow.

Thank you for your comment. I understand that for some people this type of content is not great. However, I am preparing new videos with real person talking, so stay tuned!
