Thanks, you gave a good overview of all different pick up sounds this bass is able to offer.
Ordered one yesterday. Maybe it will arrive next week. Think it's a good buy for the money. I gain the impression after seeing other YT videos too and reading tests and reviews about the HB JB40FL.
It also looks very nice and attractive, if you like classic vintage retro stuff, which I do. Will see, how this bass is in real life and in my hands.

For me, the worst think it’s the weight, it’s very heavy, almost 5kg/5,2kg, in general it’s amazing bass for the price.

I don't worry much about the weight of this bass. Good wood has its weight and creates a very good sound together with some other parameters. Most of all your heart, soul, fingers and the ability to play this instrument. I'm not a bass player but a drummer and like to get some jacoish, notes, lines and melodies out of the HB. I'm working on it.
Of all my guitar and bass instruments, quite some, this JB is the best buy for the money, although the other string instruments are not bad but good buys for their prices. That tells a lot.

if you turn the knobs just a little bit does it affect anything on the sound? usually in this cheap model only third quarter of knob works
