Leon is not a nightmare matchup for Colby, in fact it might even be the opposite. Me as a Leon fan, I don't want to see Colby fight Leon, I really don't. Leon does really well when his opponents give him space and time to do what he does, for example Belal. But you see in the second Usman fight, Leon doesn't really do well when fighters don't give him space. Colby is literally a 170 version of Merab, his cardio is nuts and he does not take his foot off the gas for 5 rounds. Think about it like Merab vs Yan at 170. We all know Leon and Yan both has decent tdd, but the technical tdd is not the problem, it's the chain wrestling. Colby doesn't beat Leon from a technical standpoint, oh golly not even close. The problem with Leon leg kicking Colby is the same with what happened with Khabib and Gaethje. I'm not comparing Colby to Khabib, I'm just using it as an example. But again my concern is that generally, kickers are easier to pressure because when they reset their stance, they go backwards and there's a longer reload time compared to a punch. I think Leon is gonna need to utilize his footwork against Colby. Maybe take a page out of Yair's book on how to pressure after a kick. Leon should want to use his footwork and stay at kicking range, but if it does get into the clinch, I think Leon like you said has nasty elbows. There's literally no where on the feet where Colby's technically better than Leon. It's just from the physical attribute standpoint. The question is will Leon be able to handle the pressure and cardio of Colby? That's it really. If it's a technical fight, I see Leon winning a UD. But if Leon could not keep up with the chain wrestling and output, I see 49-46 or 48-47 for Colby really
The second usman fight isn’t a fair comparison considering Leon’s gassed out after the first due to elevation. Colby doesn’t have the Strength size or power usman has or Leon either. If you know anything about Leon you’d understand how insanely underrated his grappling is and he showed it against usman too when he took him down and controlled him completely on the ground. Leon’s simply too big and too strong for Colby so yes hes a bad matchup for Colby
@@damelillardfanI find it funny how say colby has the physical attribute when he’s way smaller and weaker then Leon and the only thing he has on him is cardio physically even then Leon’s cardio isn’t bad at all he’s just not used to high elevation which is why he struggle against usman in high elevation. If Colby had power and strength then sure I’d say he’s a tough matchup for Leon but if Kamaru struggled to hold Leon down and even got controlled and held down by Leon and almost put into a Rear naked choke then imagine how much easier it’ll be for him to control Colby and submit him. Not Sayinh it’s easy but it’s easier for Leon to beat colby on the ground then it is for usman

What's Khamzats level of bjj like? I can see him getting Adesanya down but at what cost and what is he capable of on the ground? I can also see him slowing down from falied td's and getting clipped
@@leopoldmadsen4274 yea I thought about that. Also thought about how that fight seemed fishy to me, unprecedented move, the last minute switching of 6 fighters on that card that went by without issue. But anyway, I was wondering if Khamzat has a belt rank in BJJ that someone knows of
“Scraped by a guy that’s supposed to knock him out”. Whether you like Lucas or not he’s just unconditionally biased lmfao it’s broad as daylight. Izzy wasn’t rocked at all in the fight Alex was just pressurising him and everybody makes it out that before the KO Izzy took the beating of his life when he won round 1 scored by all 3 judges (I think). Izzy was quite aggressive that fight and gave Alex things to worry about. Just because he got caught with a leg kick and stumbled doesn’t mean when he gets a KO he’s “scrapping by”. Give credit where credit is due bro 🤦♂️
These aren't even matchup nightmares. These are a lot of just higher ranked fighter that's proven beats lower ranked unproven fighter. No shit. The izzy take is awful for the both of them. Izzy is going to knock khamzat out. His chin isn't that good, his wrestling is good yes but Izzy is bigger and stronger and any exchange where they are both standing is awful for Khamzat. Using Blachowiz as justification for Izzy being bad against grapplers is really stupid because we have these things called weight classes. There is no shock to a middleweight getting mauled by a light heavyweight. Jamahal Hill would absolute destroy Izzy as well and he's not a huge wrestler either, he's just a bigger stronger fighter that can deal with his range. Whittaker literally brought Izzy to the wire. A nightmare matchup doesn't go to the wire. The Merab is ok, if and only if, Merab can do more with his takedowns. Yes he took Yan down a billion times, but Yan wasn't ever in danger of being finished against Merab. So that depends largely on something we haven't seen yet. The only dude that beats Gaethje out of those 3 is Deriush, you act like every UFC fight is a grappling match, and while wrestling is favored now, it won't save you against power punches that can knock you out instantly. The Holloway take is a no shit take, obviously Max beats all these other gatekeeping featherweights. It's low hanging fruit. That's like saying Jon Jones is a nightmare matchup for Derrick Lewis. No shit. Volk is a nightmare matchup for paddy, no fucking shit. Joe Schmoe from the street vs Francis Ngannou is obviously a nightmare matchup for good ole Joe. Max beats Merab by decision easily. The Volk take isn't aging well now that Tepora DESTROYED Emmett, I think Volk wins that fight but it would be close. Not just that but we saw how much khabib leaving Islam's corner affects him, there are worse matchups for volk like oliveira and poirier. Gane brings technique back to heavyweight. He beats the 2 guys you brought up, but even then, you didn't explain how they specifically beat Gane specifically. You just shit on Gane. Wouldn't Gane have an awful matchup against Tai or Lewis too then if he's a bitch who just doesn't give af? I think Sean is worse for Cejudo and Cejudo smashes Sandhagen. You're overthinking. So lemme get this straight. YOU FAVORED EVERY SINGLE WRESTLER AND DON'T USE KHAMZAT'S WEIGHT AGAINST HIM WHEN HE FIGHTS IZZY BUT NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU'RE GONNA USE THAT LOGIC AGAINST STERLING AND VOLK?!?!?!?! Don't get me wrong Volk destroys Aljo for the same reasons that Izzy fucks up Khamzat. Brother I don't like calling people casuals but these takes are AWFUL.
While Khamzat is definitely a hard fight. Unless theres a complete blow out early sub. Izzy can catch him and ko him. Burns damaged Khamzat then Izzy will.
I feel like every decent wrestler would dominate merab because we know hes basically shit down there he cant hold you down at all which leads me to believe that he doesn’t know how to get up as well so just take him down and hold him there. Would be absolutely boring but it would work
but khamzat is not a middleweight, also you cant just just take him straight to a title shot, he didnt dominate the welter, nor is he the champion, he is not jon jones, bro.
Judging by the stats you are incorrect. Henry struggles to hold people down, especially bigger folks who use the fence. In his last 5 or so fights he hasn’t ever really dominated with wrestling.
Your take on Robert Whitaker is trash first of all he wants the fight. Have you listened to the man talk. Second of all over trained ? There all over trained. Izzy scraped by Alex pereira ? He knocked him out lol and why would khamzat get the fight ? he hasn’t proven anything at middle weight.
Im from a small town in Australia like Volk is and let me tell you this. small town men aged 30-til death are just different breeds. im not explaining it, if you know, you know. yknow?
I see Volk as being the exception to many rules, he has just peaked as a fighter and has the best cardio in the UFC(&Merab), hard to say how much longer he could go, I would think atleast 2 years maybe much longer...Volk is not impossible to submit, he is tough to submit, but Yair could certainly hurt and submit Volk...

Song beats merab and it won’t be hard, inside 2 as a matter of fact. Matches the physicality, has power and excellent striking with good cardio and take down defense
Yadong and umar are merab’s hardest matchups by far imo. Merab would wash everyone else.
lmaooo Max mogs fighters 5'8 - 5'10 I'm so dead bro. Never began for 5'8-5'10cells
"Khamzat doesn't fight as often as he used to" "even if Rob gets a first-round finishes still be banged up from training camp so he shouldn't do a quick turnaround" maybe.. Just maybe..Khamzat is doing the same so he doesn't end up like Burns.
Colby would dump Leon on his head for 5 rounds straight😂😂

Khamzat is not a nightmare matchup and you know it, he’s KO/TKO’d by the 2nd, if not he’s gassed by the 3rd and it’s Adesanya’s decision to steal. Only way Borz wins is by submission within the 1st or 2nd.
And you think adesanya survives 1st round 😂 of a grappling exchange? no anime power is going to save him !!
What's Khamzats level of bjj like? I can see him getting Adesanya down but at what cost and what is he capable of on the ground? I can also see him slowing down from falied td's and getting clipped
Bro he finished Kevin holland (a black belt) in a minute
@@leopoldmadsen4274 yea I thought about that. Also thought about how that fight seemed fishy to me, unprecedented move, the last minute switching of 6 fighters on that card that went by without issue. But anyway, I was wondering if Khamzat has a belt rank in BJJ that someone knows of
@@JohnLocke1776 o think he has a blue belt but they don’t follow the same principals
@@leopoldmadsen4274 interesting. I'd be really interested in seeing Khamzat fight Izzy or anyone at/near the top at 170/'85

Black belt isn't really a flex nowadays
There are many fake black belts
Btw, little correction: Khamzat is purple belt
Give credit where credit is due bro 🤦♂️
it’s not really getting taken down it’s getting back up izzy’s gets up real good
Merab and ilia future georgian champs 🇬🇪☝🏼
As a tony ferguson fan, a video of matches he needs to avoid would be 5 hours long :(
People forget colby is 35 right now buy people still think he beats khamzat or islam lol
The Gaethje one was brutal
Is that the guy who predicts all fights wrong ?
Craig Jones will train Izzy to do volk esq stuff against chimaev
Colby's style is basically Usman without knockouts
“Scraped by” ooof
Beneils offensive wrestling isn’t that good I could actually see gaethje winning that but he definitely loses to arman and gamrot though
While Khamzat is definitely a hard fight. Unless theres a complete blow out early sub. Izzy can catch him and ko him. Burns damaged Khamzat then Izzy will.
burns damaged khamzat because khamzat didnt stick to the fight plan
@@1ymaphe didn't stick to the plan because burns is an incredible on the ground and has top tier takedown defense. Two things Izzy doesn't have
Lucas's Tracy oiled up
Colby smashes Leon Albino boy!
I feel like every decent wrestler would dominate merab because we know hes basically shit down there he cant hold you down at all which leads me to believe that he doesn’t know how to get up as well so just take him down and hold him there. Would be absolutely boring but it would work
Merab already fought a good wrestler stamann and he beat him so nah
but khamzat is not a middleweight, also you cant just just take him straight to a title shot, he didnt dominate the welter, nor is he the champion, he is not jon jones, bro.
Brother said he scraped by alex with second round ko😭
Agree with Sandhagen being too much for Cejudo... Sucks he doesn't get to face him though, he probably beats Umar.
Khamzat could ragdoll him or adesanya could head kick chimaev out cold
Have to disagree with Cejudo not being able to hold Sandhagen down... The man is an olympic champion wrestler lmao. Other than that good list
Judging by the stats you are incorrect. Henry struggles to hold people down, especially bigger folks who use the fence. In his last 5 or so fights he hasn’t ever really dominated with wrestling.
Bro your Max Holloway list is weird considering he's already beat 3 of them 😂.
Chimeav take a little too far for me
Your hate for Adesanya is unparalleled. At least you're honest about it.
Any man in this world who has massive hate for adesanya is my brother💪💪💪💪💪💪
How is it khamzats fault that nobody want’s to fight him??
This guy hates Adesanya
But they won’t fight anyway
I think merab vs max would be close
Your take on Robert Whitaker is trash first of all he wants the fight. Have you listened to the man talk. Second of all over trained ? There all over trained. Izzy scraped by Alex pereira ? He knocked him out lol and why would khamzat get the fight ? he hasn’t proven anything at middle weight.
Im from a small town in Australia like Volk is and let me tell you this. small town men aged 30-til death are just different breeds. im not explaining it, if you know, you know. yknow?
I found 4:19 hilarious don’t know why
Adesanya kills him
Gaethje and anyone w a blue belt is accurate
Khamzat the goat. Already know ez double champ. Can be first triple champ
What would the third belt be? Light heavyweight?
@@LeviVanSluijs
For sure
Khamzat would die making 155
I see Volk as being the exception to many rules, he has just peaked as a fighter and has the best cardio in the UFC(&Merab), hard to say how much longer he could go, I would think atleast 2 years maybe much longer...Volk is not impossible to submit, he is tough to submit, but Yair could certainly hurt and submit Volk...
If volk wins I’d be happy, but if yair wins I’d be happy too ngl both are great fighters and great guys
If Aljo beats Volk he the new GOAT LOL
Thinking khamzat is gonna run through izzy after his fight with burns is wild
Solid Picks
Khamzat beats adesanya
Leon beats islam
Leon beats colby
Volkanovski beats aljamain
Sandhagen beats cejudo
Islam beats charles in rematch
Arman tsarukyan beats gaethje or poirier

July of 2023 and people still don't realize how good Izzy is. I don't see him losing to anyone at middleweight any time soon (now that Alex moved up).
volk will go out on his shield.
!
Honestly I think Colby wins over Leon. Although Leon has great takedown defense he gives up his back when he is trying to stand up (as seen in the second Usman fight) and that works because Usman has 0 jiu jitsu but Colby could easily find a submission

@@lucastfitness7299 point still stands. At that level rarely is anybody running through someone else. Fights alot closer than you think. I hope it happens just so you can see how wrong you are

@@DemonInPainbeing taller is even worse for Izzy lol it makes it easier for Khamzat to take him down and harder for Izzy to get up or avoid subs
Merab is a nightmare for a lot of 135/145ers. No one wants to fight him after that Yan performance.
Umar will fight him for the title.
Severly overestimating khamzat. Dude is not that great. Hes just big and strong. Very low technique. And we saw even tho burns is smaller than him at 170 his technique trumped khamzats brute strength and khamzat couldnt do anything to him. I dont like izzy either but yall delusional if you think khamzat is gonna be able to brute force his way thru the top 185ers. i think sandhagen could hang with merab and maybe get a ko via flying knee or something like that. but obviously merab has the better odds in that matchup

Yeah but knowing Dustin he probably won't grapple too much.
I thought this dude was pretty impressive after the first take.
Then he said Justin Gaethje can’t wrestle and that Khabib took him down first try (try 7th)
Then said Henry isn’t dangerous on the ground, which made me literally lose brain cells.
Then he meat rides dvalishvili and can’t even pronounce his name right and has the nerve to even suggest that it’s possible he could beat Max🤣

Henry is a 2x gold medalist, and to say Cory is his nightmare when Cory got submitted by Aljo, is purely naive.
I agreed with Khamzat v Adesanya cause that’s common sense.
Justin probably knocks out both beneil and gamrot, arman and him would be close, by no stretch of the imagination a “nightmare”
IDK where do people get stuff sometimes. Like CHIMAEV IS WAY BETTER ON THE FEET THAN DEREK BRUNSON. Bro, lil bro. Khamzat never showed some super technical and sharp ability on the feet. He is not way better than Brunson striking, they are both pretty mediocre as of now.
I love your content bro but I think this was a really bad and biased video.
