As an American US citizen, I grew up when these were new on screen and on the radio. Loved the parody, smiled and laughed most of the way through it. You're quite the talented young lady. Hats off to you Miss. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
Don't know how many takes it took, you seem to be on the verge of laughing in every shot, loved it , great channel, keep up the the great work. About time you were headhunted by timeteam!
10-4 Your talented musical and cowboy parody is delightful fun. Most assuredly Yorkshire is the home of western films, why else in days of yore would they have established West Riding of Yorkshire.🤠
" 'Ere - the Northern Cowboys Union takes issue wi' this! We've got a *demarcation dispute* - Union rules state BLOKES ONLY for singing cowboys! Roight - everyone OUT, bruthers - we're on STRIKE! No-one crosses the picket-line!" ;)
Sun Set That sun still sets in the west But that old trail is asphalt now Baked by the sun hot and dry The sounds of hoofs have passed Herds of buffalo graze no more Barbwire strung along The fence post passed like a picket fence As the truck tires whine on The sweetgrass has all but gone The mesquite is tall and thick Prickly Pear covers the prairie The Longhorns have gone A saddle all covered in dust The moth-riddled blanket flaps Riding quirt amiss Old spurs hung on a wall On a post hangs a leather belt With a holster cracked and rotting That old hogleg turned brown Brass all green The lassoing cowboy is no more That broad hat tipped back His shirt sleeves rolled high Jeans rolled double His hair thinned and gray High cheekbones darken Bull hide tough Hand scars a many With eyes squinting A straw chair leaned back Daydreaming No more round ups That last ride was long ago With a rolled cigarette on his lip His words in a low key That sun still sets in the west Barry 4/3/2023
Have you ever visited the American west? We are aware these are movies but crack a book , old news articles , follow the history, sometimes fact was just as far fetched as fiction. I don't understand the condescending feel and as a life long truck driver raised by a life long truck driver, the CB was a huge part of America culture during the 70s and 80s.
Thank Christ for that. You've done nothing but whinge, piss and moan on every post Catherine puts up. You must be a real hoot at funerals, you miserable git.

Most impressed by the casual Marty Robbins reference!
This channel just gets better and better.
Nice song. Thanks.
This is such an improbable video, I love it !!!
Now that little lady is called takin' the 10-100 out of the wild west, cowboys and CB radio...10-4 :-) Good one ma'am. 🙂

I want a camera like that when I grow up
Renaissance Woman, Catherine Warr
You play guitar pretty well 😊
I was thinking about this song just the other day.
and now you will think about it EVERY DAY ;)
A'reyt Catherine. Cowboys an' engin's with Bandit on the CB?
You are wonderfully weird.
Sun Set
That sun still sets in the west
But that old trail is asphalt now
Baked by the sun hot and dry
The sounds of hoofs have passed
Herds of buffalo graze no more
Barbwire strung along
The fence post passed like a picket fence
As the truck tires whine on
The sweetgrass has all but gone
The mesquite is tall and thick
Prickly Pear covers the prairie
The Longhorns have gone
A saddle all covered in dust
The moth-riddled blanket flaps
Riding quirt amiss
Old spurs hung on a wall
On a post hangs a leather belt
With a holster cracked and rotting
That old hogleg turned brown
Brass all green
The lassoing cowboy is no more
That broad hat tipped back
His shirt sleeves rolled high
Jeans rolled double
His hair thinned and gray
High cheekbones darken
Bull hide tough
Hand scars a many
With eyes squinting
A straw chair leaned back
Daydreaming
No more round ups
That last ride was long ago
With a rolled cigarette on his lip
His words in a low key
That sun still sets in the west
