For people upset that he’s being pretty mean, I totally understand but at the same time 1: its Weak3n he’s not going to baby anyone 2: Live coaching is not easy on either party, being super stern is kinda the only way to drive a point across for some people. 3: its a training service not a friendship service. But yes I agree at some points it was a lil over the top but nothing too crazy or unexpected.
You don't need to be an ass to not baby someone. There are multiple ways you can communicate the same message without sugar-coating, being overly flowery or beating around the bush. A good example was Thor's missed dunk on the Janus around 11:15. Weak3n said the following; "Next time go for Janus, don't try and hit a double stun. Yeah, don't ever do that, don't ever do that. Literally ever again. The goal is to kill the one person and guarantee the kill. You've already dropped too many kills this game." A better approach could have been; "Next time commit to the Janus instead of trying to go for both. It's better to get one guaranteed kill than to risk losing both. You got the kill, so good job, and now we can improve on it for next time." Part of being a coach, no matter what you're coaching - life, sports, e-sports, cooking, anything - is learning to build up and reinforce confidence. The way you speak and the way you convey a message is important because it'll establish how a person absorbs what you're teaching. Is what Weak3n did egregious? Obviously not. But anyone claiming that he "has to talk this way" or that "he refuses to sugar-coat" is missing the difference between coaches you resent and coaches you respect.
