Bitter Sweet Symphony was by The Verve. The lead guitarist from the band was so moved by Ren's version that he gifted Ren a limited edition electric Fender guitar. Ren was blown away, I saw the surprise unboxing of that guitar on Ren's live Twitch stream. 😁 I'd love to see you react to: "Back on 74 / Message in a Bottle (Live Retake)" Only Ren can take the song "Back on 74", released in 2022 by the UK electronic/funk/soul group (Jungle), mash it up with "Message in a Bottle", released in 1979 by (The Police) and then create an original Rap to bridge both songs together. 🔥😍 🤔You tell me what other artist do you know that can take two songs & add an original Rap, totaling 3 different genres from 2 separate generations & then musically arrange & meld them seamlessly? This Guy is on another level.✌
Ren assembled the string quartet for his performance at the Secret Garden Party festival (which was incredible!!) and they sounded so good, he knew he needed to record a live version of this. His original Bittersweet Symphony retake is worth checking out as well. The Verve loved it so much, Si sent Ren one of his custom guitars! 🎸 His catalogue runs so deep … it’s well worth checking out! But he’s going to be releasing a flood of new material as well. He has a collab with Webby coming out tomorrow and another new track next Thursday
This is great as always. I can't imagine ever NOT loving something Ren does. However, I think you should check out his music video of this. He did it a while back. I personally like that one a little better, just because the video is cool, and he pays homage to the original video by The Verve.
If you wanna go back back to his youth, I suggest you react to Runaway with his band ”Trick the Fox”. It is a catchy, more mainstream tune but the lyrics are already profound and paint the picture of his struggles. But he’s gonna drop new music every thursday from next week until the new album drops. And tomorrow Chris Webby drops a new song, featuring Ren. So maybe stay in the present for now? The old ones will still be there when the album drops. Or do one new and one oldie each week? I wouldn’t mind 😊
