Really enjoyed this conversation. As one with ENFP preferences, I took the liberty of moving ahead to consider Fe, or extroverted feeling, as our sixth function . This allowed me to think of the sixth function as a tool of measurement for professional success. For example, you two have often spoken on extroverted feeling as the harmonizer, balancing out social dynamics; this would be a tool of measurement for those with ENFP preferences who naturally move with introverted feeling as a function of self assurance in that we can simply ask in whatever work we’re doing, “is this socially relevant?” Of course all answers are subjective and can be justified, but I can hear you two say in the back of my head, “have you gotten consensus?” Using the sixth function as a proper tool in this sense could give instant clarity, in the case of ENFP’s, it could help us to be grounded or practical in our approach as opposed to the instinctive flightiness we can often lead with out of social independence. Thank you both for a lovely chat!
I should find this video earlier :) INFJ here, working on building/creating digital products/apps. Works well at the beginning, when need to gather User's insights/requirements/problems and build a vision of the product, the main functions etc. But when diving deeper into details often I'm realizing, I didn't took all the real life aspects into consideration so getting stuck, as it doesn't fit with my initial ideas. What I've learn to do: 1. Speak with my INFP wife :), she doesn't give me a solution, but the way she looks at the things, more optimistic, more holistic, makes me pick new lines that I further develop them my way. 2. I'm totally stepping away for some time, trying to dilute, to soften a little my vision/solution hardened like concrete and look at things in a new way.
