Hello, for that age, I would do another increase of (2dc, dcx10) for a total of 72 dc for 14 rounds in dark blue. And rows 15-17 in light blue. Ear flaps would be with 28 sts skipped

Maybe go down a hook, or try the toddler size to see if that one fits better

@@radhikabalasubramanian9799 It means that if you were using a 5MM/H hook, maybe try getting a 4.5mm/G hook. (the next size down)

Hey, you can definitely do cotton worsted weight #4 that’s the most important part that’s it’s worsted weight #4. You can absolutely look up the ones I used and see what’s comparable to those

Yes, you can take an I hook, and after the increase round of (2dc, dc x 9) you are going to work one more increase of (2dc, dc x 10) for a total of 72 dc. Do dark blue for rows 1-14, lighter color for rows 15-17. All accents can be worked the same with an I hook.
