I think it'll be both - Tonali gives us so much versatility, the Joelinton/Willock overlap will be even more deadly because Bruno and Tonali will both pivot between 6 and 8s, making us even more unpredictable, but yeah for the most part I think Tonali will sit deeper in a number 6 role and I honestly can't wait to see Bruno unlocked further up the pitch, he's gonna have so much more freedom to attack

Competition is healthy in a squad. Most of our bench last season suffered from not getting much game time due to consistency the first 11 put out. But that’s a healthy environment. With champions league that will open up more opportunities for those players on the bench to get out on the field either during cup or league matches. I do suspect it’ll be Tonali, Bruno, Joelinton, Willock and possibly almiron in midfield. But ultimately depends who else we sign.

I don’t trust Italian players outside of Italy. They rarely become star players outside of Italy, especially in England where players are more athletic and the football is much faster. The Italian player to be a huge success in England was Zola or Ravenelli a long time ago. I don’t count Jorginho as really Italian but Gnoto has the potential to be the best Italian player in England for a long time.
I would also add, Vialli, Di Canio, Di Matteo they too have had a good career in England, but what you say is true, football is slower here and therefore our players find it more difficult to get into such a fast football. Tonali is a good player and he's young, if they give him time it's possible he can have a good career
