Thanks so much for supporting this video, I get a little bit nervous when it's me talking by myself in front of the camera so I really appreciate all your kind words :) let me know if you would like me to do more of these videos, if so what types! Thanks again everyone!
Roll your clothes for less creases, if you do have something creased and don’t have an iron, hang it on a coat hanger and hang it up in the bathroom while you have a shower and the steam will help the creases fall out, it won’t be perfect but it won’t be as creased as it was.
Enjoyed seeing what you've packed. Packing cubes are brilliant (I've been using them for almost 10 years) and the best way to avoid creases (and take up less space) is to roll your clothes. I also have a packing folder (from Eagle Creek) for things that I don't want to roll but there is a file to fold your clothes around and it keeps them compact.
Just caught up on this video and will give the Bondi (I think that was it) tan a try, those heels all stained were hilarious ROFL !!! Thanks for another great series !!!
If i really need to iron something and i cbf ironing it properly, I give it a quick go over with my hair straightener. It's not always the best, but its great to remove those huge noticeable creases. It works especially great with frills. Also, another tip for 'ironing' is to get something a little damp and then blow dry it. Works great!
Loved the video Jess! Definitely going to try packing cubes when we go to Japan, hopefully it will stop me over packing. Would love to see what make-up etc you take!
I LOVED this video! So helpful! I tend to overpack, I have been getting better though. And my clothes are always wrinkled when I pack, i have tried different things and nothing works!!!!😆 Also, I got my hoodie yesterday and I love it. It's so comfy, picture coming soon.
Rolling works okay, but you can get de-wrinkle spray, also try hanging things in the bathroom while you shower and the steam should get a lot of the wrinkles out. Can't wait to see more of your travels x
Flying The Nest no problem! I cruise, so it works really well in the tiny cruise ship bathrooms, don't quote me on bigger ones but should still work as long as you don't turn an exhaust fan until after.
Hi Jess, your skin looks flawless. Please do a makeup video like the products you use for makeup. In all the weather's I have seen so far in your videos your skin looks perfect. Also, please share your skincare routine with products you use. Take care . Love
Jess you did awesome 😉 also I agree with all those that suggests you roll your clothes for less creasing and it's supposed to be a room saver as well!! I also am a huge believer and user of the packing cubes👍🏽 and I'm soooooo excited cause my MERCH finally arrived and I ❤️ it!! O and I always pack a little spray bottle for misting or dampening my clothes that need pressing and I too have used my flat iron😜 Keep up the awesome work guys and can't wait to see what's next🤗
Awhhh thank you so much Tiffany - I get so nervous doing sit down videos on my own haha! It is harder than it looks :P! Ohhh have you sent me a photo of you wearing the merch?? Would love to see it!
Flying The Nest Aside from my phone charger 😂. I always pack a hoodie or jacket. I will now be bringing my Flying the Nest merch. ❤❤ Oh also PACKING CUBES! They help sooo much!
Great video! Packing cubes are such a great idea, didn't know they exist. I've tried folding and rolling - creases still seem to come along 😆 It must be the fabric. Love the necklace - where is it from/what's the brand? Would love to see a make up video. Good job guys 👌
Yaeah it must be the fabric! The necklace is from a cheap jewelry store here in Australia called Lovisa :) And I will deff do a make up video for you guys :)
If rolling them up doesn't work for you , try to put the ones that you know will crease under the matress overnight . Or maybe try to buy only.clothes with "no ironing needed" label :)
I know this is a super late comment but if you’re looking for a good self tanner that’s super portable and won’t explode you should try Tan Towels! They are my favorites and so easy to use!
Yes, I suggest packing much warmer! By May New Zealand can get quite cold. For us we had an average of 20 celsius (68f), but this was the beginning out autumn :)
I always overpack, because, well.... there are no washing machines anywhere in the world, right??? Haha, last time I left stuff behind, because my suitcase got wayyyy too heavy again with books on the way home.... So I tell myself I have to bring extra clothes to stuff my suitcase, because on the way home I need room for new stuff!
I'm not actually sure why I'm watching this when I live in New Zealand. 😂🤔 However, I guess I'm travelling to Singapore and then to Europe/UK during their winter so I suppose the change in weather packing will be quite helpful. 🙂
I will 100% do a make up video for you all :) Seeing as you are from New Zealand, is there anything you think I could have brought or packed differently for NZ??
Flying The Nest I think you covered everything pretty well. We are pretty unimaginative with outfits here in NZ we pretty much live in puffer jackets 3/4 of the year! 😂
i am solo travel vlogging for 6 months all around europe, africa, asia, australia & i am bringing 2 carry on size bags, 1 rolling, 1 backpack & i am so nervous i am choosing the wrong luggage but i am NOT a minimalist . aghhh any other female travelers out there can make me feel better about this ?
Thanks so much for supporting this video, I get a little bit nervous when it's me talking by myself in front of the camera so I really appreciate all your kind words :) let me know if you would like me to do more of these videos, if so what types! Thanks again everyone!

Definitely keen to see your makeup and routine Jess! x

Yes, a few of you have mentioned the hanger in the bathroom idea - totally need to try this!!!

I LOVED this video! So helpful! I tend to overpack, I have been getting better though. And my clothes are always wrinkled when I pack, i have tried different things and nothing works!!!!😆 Also, I got my hoodie yesterday and I love it. It's so comfy, picture coming soon.
Yess I can never stop the wrinkles!!! Oh yaaaay so glad you like the hoodie! Cant wait to see a picture of you wearing it :D
Aww you two are so cute!!
😊😊😊
Rolling works okay, but you can get de-wrinkle spray, also try hanging things in the bathroom while you shower and the steam should get a lot of the wrinkles out. Can't wait to see more of your travels x
ohhh I am totally going to try hanging them in the bathroom when I shower! I have heard about that one, but never actually tried it before! thanks :D

Good hints! It is nice to see how others pack for trips.
hope you found it helpful :)

Just found you guys last night and I LOVE your videos!! Please keep them coming! :-)
YAY welcome to the Flying The Nest club :)
hey guys, love your videos, any chance you can tell me the brand of packing cubes?
Fun video. Man, you guys need to bring back those Flying the Next sweatshirt and sell them again.
Please do a video of the type of makeup you pack you always look so beautiful ♥️
I loved the video jess!! ❤❤ I love to see what people pack!
awwhh thanks Heather :) What's something you can't pack without??
Flying The Nest Aside from my phone charger 😂. I always pack a hoodie or jacket. I will now be bringing my Flying the Nest merch. ❤❤ Oh also PACKING CUBES! They help sooo much!
Do this kind video more ☺️
please do a makeup video Jess you always look so amazing all the time!! 🌟😊
Nawww thanks Cherelize :) I will deff do one for you all :D
Great video! Packing cubes are such a great idea, didn't know they exist. I've tried folding and rolling - creases still seem to come along 😆 It must be the fabric.
Love the necklace - where is it from/what's the brand?
Would love to see a make up video. Good job guys 👌
Yaeah it must be the fabric! The necklace is from a cheap jewelry store here in Australia called Lovisa :) And I will deff do a make up video for you guys :)
You roll them up neatly instead of folding takes up less room and less creases
I have tried rolling but mine seem to crease even more! Maybe its the type of fabric I like to wear - so weird!
If rolling them up doesn't work for you , try to put the ones that you know will crease under the matress overnight . Or maybe try to buy only.clothes with "no ironing needed" label :)
Jess it appears to me that you definitely have packing down to a science!! Great tips tfs🇨🇦🕊🕊
YAY this makes me sooo happy! I used to be the worst packer!!!!
I know this is a super late comment but if you’re looking for a good self tanner that’s super portable and won’t explode you should try Tan Towels! They are my favorites and so easy to use!
Jess, would love to see a makeup bag video!!!
Next is to get some compression cubes. Also roll up your clothes then pack them. That way, they don't wrinkle.
What if i'm traveling to NZ in may which will probably be the end of autumn?i think i should pack more warmer clothing i suppose 🤔
Yes, I suggest packing much warmer! By May New Zealand can get quite cold. For us we had an average of 20 celsius (68f), but this was the beginning out autumn :)
Flying The Nest Hahaah thankss guys for the tips!!!!
Feel like you wont see this BUT! How do you pack your hats?? I'm moving back home in a month to NZ and i'm worried about my hats haha
I put them in the suitcase upside down and fill the inside with clothes to keep it’s shape ☺️
I always overpack, because, well.... there are no washing machines anywhere in the world, right??? Haha, last time I left stuff behind, because my suitcase got wayyyy too heavy again with books on the way home.... So I tell myself I have to bring extra clothes to stuff my suitcase, because on the way home I need room for new stuff!
hahaha oh don't you worry - it took me so long to learn how to not over pack ... we used to be THE WORST!!!
If you are visiting in the summer and hiking in the South Island you have to be made aware of, and pack for, NZ's most dangerous creature - SANDFLIES.
good tips! :)
Thank you so much :) Glad you found this helpful!
I'm not actually sure why I'm watching this when I live in New Zealand. 😂🤔 However, I guess I'm travelling to Singapore and then to Europe/UK during their winter so I suppose the change in weather packing will be quite helpful. 🙂
Also, I would love to see what make-up you bring, Jess! :)
I will 100% do a make up video for you all :) Seeing as you are from New Zealand, is there anything you think I could have brought or packed differently for NZ??
Will try that for another video :)
Flying The Nest I think you covered everything pretty well. We are pretty unimaginative with outfits here in NZ we pretty much live in puffer jackets 3/4 of the year! 😂
Roll the clothes really tight, it saves space and eliminates wrinkles. 😁
thanks Ash!!! I have tried rolling before, but I think it was lazy-person-rolling ... need to try it again!
Flying the nest merch will be shipped to India?
its shipped world wide :)
YAAAAS.
Thank youu!
Love the wallet and the packing cubes they brill
packing cubes are my favorite travel accessory!!!
i am solo travel vlogging for 6 months all around europe, africa, asia, australia & i am bringing 2 carry on size bags, 1 rolling, 1 backpack & i am so nervous i am choosing the wrong luggage but i am NOT a minimalist . aghhh any other female travelers out there can make me feel better about this ?
