13 Years after Solomon build and dedicated the Temple of the Lord, the Lord visited Solomon at night and gave him answers to his prayers, and set some guidelines.
The Lord dealt with three groups
1. Solomon
2. The People
3. The Tempe
God answered many of the petitions that Solomon made in his prayers from 2 Chronicles 6:14-7:1
Subject: Keep my statutes and ordinances
scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:12-22
in this Lesson you will see the Popular scripture, 2 Chronicles 7:12-22, If my people which are called by my name.

Great teaching Elder Jones. We all receive something relevant to the lesson, thru you. from God.When "GOD's people" brought to the temple, living sacrifices, they left the (sacrificed)it.
Like likewise we are to present our bodies, to the Lord in worship living sacrifices. And whatever it was, cant keep us bound any longer.
Let's move closer to sanctification.

Thank you
Thank you Elder Rodney for the lesson. It was a blessing. Praying God’s continued blessings on this ministry.
You are welcome and thank you so much
This lesson right here is a very powerful one. 2 Chronicles 7:14 in the proper context just blows my mind. oft times we used this verse during natural disasters not knowing that its dealing with repentance from sin.
True talk sir
Thank you for the speedy reply.
You are welcome
Any Nations other then the children of Israel were considered as strange, God wanted pure worship and pure seed, when Israel stepped out and got married they brought in strange gods and their worship.
Thanks again for the follow up. Ready for Sunday school in rhe morning.

Oh my I am praying for him, thank you so much. Please let me know his condition
Again another wonderful lesson, always learning and enjoying. Thanks so much Elder Jones!!!!
You are welcome and thank you
Great Teaching. Easy to follow and understand
Thank you
This is how I am to approach this passage... last week was a public and national display, a congregational prayer. This week it gets personal, God speaking to Solomon about his lineage and about the nation. We know how Solomon lived, and his lineage was stopped; but the Davidic lineage continued. I have listened to this teaching at least 5 times. Thank you for teaching in a spirit of excellence. When you pointed out the scripture that Israel is my firstborn son... Hallelujah!!! That is what I am talking about...the Church, composed of many nations... we are sons of God and even the Bride of Christ. We are God's people... He hears and He answers. Thank You Lord. God bless you...this teaching is truly helpful. God bless you.
You are welcome, were are workers together with Him. I always enjoy the fellowship
Good Morning Pastor Jones where are you For March 26. 2023
Shout out to son Lawrence and brother Larry... I will be checking them out thank you for offering these resources to enhance our ministries. Blessings. Thank you for helping bring clarity to the time span between the different events/happenings. And...ding, ding, ding... I do want to challenge "If My people which are called by My name...." Okay, I want to approach it from a couple different angles... 1st Knowing that we receive a lot of "types and shadows in the old testament / covenant. I agree with Pastor Cross, I am the land and everywhere my feet trod I possess the land. I am not a child of God, a people of God "to a particular point". I am the seed of Abraham, and we have been grafted in. I am not a step child; I am heir of God and joint-heir with Christ and I am still progressively learning what that means and how to walk in it, like Jesus. Also, considering we are post-Cross; Jesus took back and gave dominion to us, the Church. When the storm arose and tossed the boat, Jesus spoke to the winds and the waves... we can do the same. I do know that the earth is travailing waiting for us to discover Who we are in Christ and live out the authority Jesus has given us as Ambassadors of Christ. We are living so beneath who we are...Lord, help us, we are coming. I have and do speak to the winds and the waves as often as I need to... I am out on an island in the middle of the Pacific -- I am not playing with the devil. The devil is the prince of the power of the air and Jesus said, I have given you (me) power over ALL the power of the wicked one. The Word works if we would believe it and do as Jesus say, "It is written..." And that is all I will say on that. I want to get to the Sunday school scriptures because I am teaching this week. The next entry I will focus on the passage of scripture. By the way, what is a natural disaster? We are living in a fallen world, the devil is the prince of the power of the air, what is a natural disaster? Does God bring disaster?
Dng ding ding...... 😁😁😁. I accept the challenge...... 😂😂😂, Don't hurt me now. 2 Chronicles 7:14 is actually a response to the prayer that Solomon lifted up before the Lord, he asked the Lord that when Israel sinned and God took away the rain, send the locust etc. To forgive then, etc. God's reply was if or when I send the locust or hold the rain ( due to sin ) if they repent I will forgive and heal THE LAND. This is a natural land in question, and that land is the promised Land. Now I do agree with you on types and shadows, and I miss definitely agree with us being able to do what Jesus did. 🤗
Rodneyf Jones
Okay and as we look at Israel's history ...did they do right? I do not know if the land of Israel has been healed even "til today. However, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. And the blessing of God is made manifest through the Jewish nation... yet, Christians also are partakers of the blessings. This is a bit tricky because this was before Jesus came and reconciled the sin of the world. Now, according to the Word, we have whatever we say. That is why it is so important to speak life. For life and death is in the power of the tongue. And, I am loving this lesson. Blessings.
I agree with you, Jesus gave us the power to have whatever we ask for in His name, providing it's the Will of God. Many do not know it believe this. He even said " IN MY NAME...." Yet they're is a difference between us and Israel, natural and spiritual blessings, although we get both natural and spiritual blessings, this lesson is dealing with the natural land and covenant of Israel. You are correct we are joint Heirs with Christ through Abraham, yet some blessings (according to the Bible) only come through Isaac side of the clan. 😀
Greetings
Thank you again for setting the time of the events/ happenings, for the definitions and for the reference scriptures. Praise, Let everything that has breath praise the Lord; Worship, those who worship must worship in spirit and in truth. Hallelujah! Our God is Spirit, God is Love. God is good. In our Sunday School a member said, It says that God is good, but, it does not say that God does good." I know when we look at the things God determined to "be" it appears that God is / was mad and punished harshly. We must remember God is Love, and be mindful there is also the wrath of God. I know God is wise in All His doings and just in All His ways. When God uses supernatural means to bring correction; as a chastisement... God is good and what He does is for the greater good and His Word is being fulfilled. I do believe 2 Chron 7:14 can be used...for we live in a sin sick world. When I consider the model prayer... we pray "thy kingdom come, thy will be done in / on earth as it is in heaven." Now, do I think heaven is going through hurricanes, snowstorms, tornadoes and such the like? I think not. I am learning the importance of God's every Word. And yes... in this fallen world... commercialism have encroached the church, the bible, the holy days - communion, baptism, resurrection day and the birth of Jesus celebrations. What I found interesting about Solomon's prayer, like you mentioned, is that when God established the covenants since the time of Abraham... and with David. God had already promised to do these things. In addition and as a matter of fact, when sin entered into the world... God put a clamp on it when He said, the serpent will bruise his heel and He shall crush his head. Our wounded Savior, worthy is the Lamb that was slain. Hallelujah! I am still praying and listening for how to approach the Lesson and to Keep My Statutes and Ordinances. Praise the Lord, for the OT really makes it plain and let's us see what God likes and what He does not like. Our God is awesome, seeing His patience, how and when He brought correction, to see His mercy and allowances... is mind blowing. I hear you when you say America, it reminds me of that religion that claims America as the promised land -- foolishness. Bless the Lord, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Our trust is to be in the Lord and Him alone. Some trust in chariots and some trust in horses but we trust in the name of the Lord. Hallelujah!!!
What age bracket are you teaching? And how do you like teaching
The senior class, 50 years and above.
Please let me know how it went
Praise the Lord...it was good; however, we did not have enough time and left a whole lot of meat on the bone. :-)) Our Title : Seeking His Face. Before we encountered the scripture - we set it up with 2 Tim 2:15... rightly divide and 2 Tim 3:16 All scripture... Mentioned the time dispensation Old Testament and we are Post-Cross. So considering the historical account and the impact; also, how it applies to us today. That hot verse if My people that are called by My name.. We all agreed that we are apart of "my people" ... humble ourselves / we want to submit to God's Word, Jesus gave us power over all the power of the god of this world / the prince of the power of the air. We submit to and live out the Word. seek my face / using pray, praise, the Word and fasting to seek His face and also Matthew 6:33. Still in vs 14, pray / we are to pray without ceasing, for our leaders, and for our enemies. And, turn from your wicked ways / we are to lay aside every weight and sin that can take us off the right way. And, just like Jesus we can speak to the winds and the waves (greater one lives inside). Matthew 12: 6...He is greater than the temple, and vs 42, He is greater than Solomon. In other Words: we still do the same thing; however, in the NT it is stated differently. Most of the attendees did not agree with the commentary in the SS book... and believe if we live in the power and authority we have in Jesus... we can change a whole lot of things. God is so wonderful and gracious. Also, God is not up in heaven... mad at the people, Jesus is seated at His right hand, we believe God is happy for Jesus paid it all. Thank You Lord... God is love and we want to see Him in everything. Our Sunday School is interactive and by the grace of God, between 12-15, we were able to hear and be empowered by the Word through almost all of them. The Lesson was great to God be the glory... I had to stop. However, with the Sunday School network, my study and what was shared in SS this morning... Hallelujah! I feel like running....
Perfect Peace Ministries praise God and thank God for the Sunday School sessions, 12-15!!!? Niceeeeeee. What part of the Sunday school commentary in the book didn't they agree with? Many times I don't agree also.
God is talking and He’s saying... then will I hear from heaven.. so how will he hear from heaven and he’s in heaven
Solomon says to God to hear the prayers of the saints from His dwelling place which is Heaven, in this lesson God answers and says I will Hear from Heaven. We don't know what form God appeared unto Solomon, it may have been in a vision.
Great teaching pastor... Do we know how old King Solomon was at this time?
Thank you so much, I'm not sure if his age at this moment, but that's a great question worth looking into.
Enjoyed the lesson Elder Jones. One question, the strange women that Solomon love and turned his heart from God. What kind of Women were they and where were they from?
These woman were probably from Egypt. They were strange because they were not part of the Israel tribe. I can find the scriptures
Thank you
So Solomon broke the covenant
Lucille Bell #2 Thank you for tbe scriptures.
7:14 is my favorite Bible verse but I continue to be stuck on this part and I believe you skipped over it. What does it mean...then will I hear from heaven?
Great question, earlier in Solomon's prayer he asked God to hear ( from where God dwells which is Heaven) the prayer if the people. Good said He would hear the people's prayers ( from Heaven) from His dwelling place.
You stressed or mentioned in vs. 15.... in this place vs. Solomon’s Word.... praying towards this place. What is the difference...did they actually have to be IN the place.
Later, many of the people would pray towards the temple and not in the temple. I believe Daniel prayed towards the temple while he was in captivity.
That’s not what I’m asking. I’m asking... why Did God say...that he’ll (God) hear from heaven. I always understood that to mean ....God will Hear from heaven. But I never understood why God would say that He’ll hear from heaven...cause ho is God hearing from? but now I’m thinking that God is saying that He’ll hear them from heaven where He is. Is this correct?
Yes that's correct, God will hear their prayers from His dwelling place ( Heaven)
Remember everything God is saying is a reply of the prayer requests Solomon made.
Is there a difference between the “Kingdom of God” and the “Kingdom of Heaven?” I have seen these terms used throughout the Bible giving one the impression they are the same. But other times it alludes to something different. Will you expound?
This is a very good question and had been debated for many years. I believe they both are there same but depending on how it's used, becomes different. 1. There is a time where one writer uses Kingdom of God but another writer uses Kingdom Heaven but it was the same parable. But one Gospel writer uses Kingdom of heaven almost through out his writing. Yet one may be the natural physical Kingdom and the other a spiritual kingdom. When I get in from work I'll provide work scriptures for you
Mark and Luke used “kingdom of God” where Matthew used “kingdom of heaven” frequently in parallel accounts of the same parable Compare Matthew 11:11-12 with Luke 7:28; Matthew 13:11with Mark 4:11 and Luke 8:10; Matthew 13:24 with Mark 4:26; Matthew 13:31 with Mark 4:30 and Luke 13:18; Matthew 13:33 with Luke 13:20; Matthew 18:3 with Mark 10:14 and Luke 18:16; and Matthew 22:2 with Luke 13:29. In each instance, the two refers to the same thing.
Thank you! I’ll compare these scriptures, and pray God gives me the answer.
Very much welcome! The parable of the rich young ruler uses the Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 19:16-22, Luke 18:18-30, and Mark 10:17-31.
Yes that's the one, I could not reply like I wanted to due to being away at a retreat for the weekend, but I'm glad you did. The Bible says we then workers together with Him.
