This is real gospel. I am now 36 years old and find myself looking for the old gospel tunes I was raised on. Most of today's artists are lacking something. The songs don't move me. Hezzie and JPK and Melvin Dawson, Resurrection Mass, La Mass, Milton Brunson, and others still bring the blessing down.
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer and given 1 to 2 years to live...that was Nov. 2016!!! Guess what? I am cancer free! By Jesus grace and mercy I made it!!! Hallelujah!!!
I've had a job since August of last year, so I've been working for a full year now, The Lord is truly a provider! My husband has also gotten a job with a pay increase. We were staying with my parents during the time I lost my job but now my husband and I have our own place, God is faithful and he's still working on our behalf
I just found something quite interesting about this song. This is actually a remake of a 1975 song by D.J. Rogers by the same title. Just type "D.J. Rogers 'It's Allright Now" in the search field and it will come up. When I found that, I was shocked, because I remember when Hezekiah first dropped this song back in the day. I thought this was one of his originals. BTW...D.J. Rogers is actually singing at the end of "God Favored Me".
I remember when I first heard this blessed song. I was going though my training in the U.S. Army. Just finished basic now it was time to be taught in my field of study. They had to teach us one year of teaching in eight months. Everything was rushed. There were times that all I could do was encourage myself in the Lord. This was my song. I began to let those words speak life to me...my situation. Even today...30 years later this song still ministers to me. I praise Jesus! For without Him I am nothing, but because of Him nothing is impossible. I thank God for using this man of God in the way HE did. Amen.
Amen I love this song so very much the memories of my family on Sundays third service IBOC DALLAS TX REV RUSH AND HIS CONGREGTION GROVING JUST ENJOYING THIRD SERVICE IBOC DALLAS TX ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
I have the entire Hezekiah Walker Collection. In 2005 I bought the cassette The Best Of Hez from a music store that was going out of business. In 2011 I bought the LP I'll Make It from a flea mall. In 2019 I bought the LP Oh Lord We Praise You from ebay brand new in the wrap.
I still have this cassette lol. I miss these times, back when songs had multiple elements of a structure - verse, chorus, interludes, bridge, break downs, vamps, etc.
Thank God for my son. He's 13 and an aspiring musician who enjoys the gospel choirs and songs from the 80s and 90s. He got on youtube and found this version of the song. Love it! We can and will make it if we follow God's leading, pray, fast, and live saved for real. Stay full of the Holy Ghost!
Haha! I remember when this song was number one on the charts foreeeeeeevvveeeerr.. I remember going to the PAW convention in 88' (I think it was).. I was about 8 or 9(?) and they were in concert w/ Rev. Milton Brunson Singers... Mom and Dad went and my sister went. Me and my brother weren't allowed to go. I WAS SO MAD!! lol! Memories. I'll never forget that. The remake w/ Kim is nice, but nothing can beat the original. They played this on the radio ALL the time. Hez was new and had a fresh sound. Everybody wanted to see him and his choir in concert back then. And for those that are wondering, yes that's Kirvy (5:05-5:57) at the end of the song.
neetrab thank you so much his voice has me shouting over here. such an amazing spirited voice i grew up listening to this and my family sings gospel but never knew his name❤
@@amarvinwinansfan lol how do you forget the original? I was like 8 when this first came out and it was all over the radio. No way you couldn't have known who Hezzy was. But I guess every body didn't know who he was.

This song has the baddest break down of any song in the history of music. I'm 34 and have been looking for this song since the last time I heard it at 10 years old. I remember living in Virginia and riding in the family van on the way to a COGIC revival where my dad would be preaching, and just zoninng out as this song was playing. I got to send this to my sister.
Hallelujah!!🙌🏾🙌🏾 I LOVE this encouraging, anointed song!! Hearing it today takes me back to the early 90's when I was attending a little storefront Apostolic church!! We had the best times there praising God, singing in the choir & lifting up the name of Jesus!!🙌🏾🙌🏾💃🎶🎶
that sounds like my boy Gerald Hayward on the drums. He pioneered doing rolls on the foot pedal. No one was doing it like that before Gerald. Dude was wicked for real. Now he's big time. Thanks for posting this. I've been looking for a version with Gerald playing for a long time.
Been searching EVERYWHERE for this version.. I was 8 years old in '87 and I remember that BREAK DOWN beat for beat and line for line!! Thank u SO much for posting this!!! Heaven 600 in Bmore MD used to play this ALL the time!! :)

+protectorofillinois3 ABSOLUTELY!
I'm so glad I never heard it! There is no LFCC without Kervy Brown, anyways. :-)
protectorofillinois3 I AGREE!!! This version he sings like he knew he needed Jesus. The newer one they are playing with it. It was annoying!!
You’re not the only one. I like this version better
